1. PM Modi will visit Canacona, Goa, to unveil a 77-feet bronze statue of Lord Ram, recognised as the tallest such statue in Asia. The event will take place at the historic Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt as part of its 550-year celebrations, alongside the release of a commemorative postal stamp and coin. The Sardha Panchashatamahotsava will run for 11 days, from November 27 to December 7.
2. The Cabinet today approved the Scheme to Promote Manufacturing of Sintered Rare Earth Permanent Magnets with a financial outlay of 7 thousand 280 crore rupees. This first-of-its-kind initiative aims to establish six thousand metric tonnes per annum of integrated Rare Earth Permanent Magnet manufacturing in the country.
3. The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a Rs 7,280-crore incentive scheme to promote domestic manufacturing of rare earth permanent magnets (REPMs). The move is part of India’s broader strategy to reduce dependence on imported critical minerals and establish a robust supply chain in high-tech manufacturing sectors.

5. PM Modi has inaugurated the Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) facility in Hyderabad, marking a major milestone for India’s aviation ecosystem. The project makes India a host country for a global aircraft engine OEM’s maintenance, repair and overhaul operations for the first time.
6. The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with multiple ministries and institutions, will organise the fourth edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 4.0) from December 2 to 10 December 2025.
7. Andhra Pradesh government launched a large-scale initiative titled ‘Rythanna Meekosam’, a farmer-centric programme designed to provide long-term support under a Five-Point Formula. Spearheaded by Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu, the program was inaugurated in Krishna district, and will run from November 24 to 29, with workshops scheduled on December 3 at Farmer Service Centres.
8. The government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the creation of three additional districts, increasing the total number of districts in the state from 26 to 29.
9. President Droupadi Murmu has said the Constitution of India is country’s national epic and following its provisions is everyones’ duty. The President said this while addressing the Constitution Day celebrations organized by the Supreme Court in New Delhi yesterday.
10. The Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) released the schedule for the upcoming Gram Panchayat elections, announcing that the polls will be held in three phases on December 11, 14 and 17.

1. PM Modi has directed officials of the Jal Shakti Ministry to take action against those who have committed irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and after the Centre’s nudge, at least seven states have imposed penalties on and recovered over Rs 129 crore from contractors.
2. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) recently issued a notice to the Indian Railways over a complaint alleging that “only halal-processed meat” is being served on trains, which affects ‘freedom of choice and religion’ for others and creates “unfair discrimination’’.
3. The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice on a plea filed by MDMK founder and former Rajya Sabha member Vaiko challenging the decision of the Election Commission of India to conduct the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu.
4. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has launched a new 24×7 short helpline number: 14490. The newly introduced toll-free number provides an easy-to-remember code for women across India to access help instantly, especially during emergencies involving violence, harassment, or threats.
5. A Delhi court has sent Soyab, the seventh accused in the Delhi Red Fort blast, to 10 days custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He was arrested in Faridabad by the investigating agency. Soyab was presented before the Patiala House Court yesterday.
6. The special NIA court in Jammu has ordered forfeiture of a residential house in Pulwama allegedly used as a hideout and planning base by JeM operatives behind the attack on the CRPF convoy on Feb 14, 2019, that killed 40 CRPF personnel.
7. A major controversy erupted in poll-bound West Bengal after Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir announced he would lay the foundation stone of a mosque modelled on Babri Masjid in Murshidabad district on December 6, prompting the Trinamool Congress to distance itself and the Bharatiya Janata Party to allege that attempts were being made to polarise the people.
December 6 marking 33 years of the demolition of the 16th-century Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, the planned ceremony has sharpened political tempers in minority dominated Murshidabad district.
8. Former Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan, who resigned from his Gobichettipalayam MLA post on Wednesday morning, met Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay later in the day. He was nine-time MLA.
On October 31, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami expelled Mr. Sengottaiyan from the party, a day after the latter accompanied expelled leader O. Panneerselvam and AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran in the same car to Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram district and also addressed a joint press meet.

1. In a move to fine-tune regulations that promote retail investor participation in India’s capital markets, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has proposed a key revision to the framework governing Basic Services Demat Accounts (BSDA). In a draft circular released on November 25, 2025, SEBI suggested that zero-coupon, zero-principal (ZCZP) bonds should be excluded from the valuation of securities used to determine BSDA eligibility.
2. Mahindra has inaugurated its first two Charge_IN ultrafast charging stations-one at Hoskote on NH75, Bengaluru-Chennai highway, and another at Murthal on NH44, around 50 km from Delhi. Each site houses two ultra-fast chargers, capable of powering up to four EVs simultaneously, marking a significant step toward building India’s high-speed EV charging backbone.

1. Farhan Akhtar delighted the fans with his war drama ‘120 Bahadur.’ Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the movie also has Raashii Khanna in the lead role. Based on the battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China conflict, the movie had a nice run during the opening weekend, where it showed steady growth.
2. The Madras High Court, on Wednesday (November 26, 2025), reserved orders on a plea by acclaimed musician R. Ilaiyarajaa to restrain Hyderabad-based Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Tamil movie Dude, from continuing to exhibit the movie, in any medium, including OTT platforms, along with the songs ‘Nooru Varusham’ and ‘Karutha Machan’ that were composed by him for other movies in the past.

1. The 19th edition of the India–Nepal joint military exercise, Exercise SURYAKIRAN-XIX – 2025, began on November 25, 2025, in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. This edition of the annual bilateral exercise will continue until December 8, 2025, aiming to enhance operational coordination and strategic understanding between the two neighbouring countries.
2. The Army has paused the use of its Ajax armoured vehicles after soldiers became unwell from noise and vibration during a military exercise. About 30 soldiers became ill when training to use the armoured fighting vehicles over the weekend, and an investigation has been launched “out of an abundance of caution”, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.
3. Three Indian Naval Ships – Landing Craft Utility (LCU 51, LCU 54, and LCU 57)—visited Colombo, Sri Lanka from 22–25 November 2025 as part of a port call. Upon arrival, the ships were accorded a ceremonial welcome by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN).
4. The Indian Navy’s indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant arrived at the Port of Colombo, responding to an invitation from the Sri Lanka Navy to join the forthcoming International Fleet Review 2025 (IFR).
5. Aftermath of the recent Delhi blast, security agencies have circulated an urgent advisory after detecting a fresh modus operandi used by Pakistan-based intelligence operatives to infiltrate secure communication groups of Indian security forces.
According to sources, the new tactic involves approaching officers of one of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) through WhatsApp, posing as either senior officials, technical support staff, or friendly contacts. After chatting for a few days, the operative then shares a group-joining code or link, claiming it is for an official coordination channel or some personal family or friend group.
