1. The India Meteorological Department has issued orange alert for rain in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Konkan.

2. President Droupadi Murmu to visit Hyderabad on 4th July to participate in 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Freedom Fighter Sri Alluri Seetharamaraju.

3. PM Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh today (27 June). He will flag off five Vande Express trains at a public programme organised at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, Bhopal.

5. Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Parshottam Rupala launched NANDI (NOC Approvals for New Drugs & Inoculation System).

The NANDI portal has been developed to pave the way to a resilient Animal Health Sector in India by streamlining and digitising the regulatory approval process.

10. Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been partially restored for vehicular movement after remaining suspended for almost ten hours due to landslides triggered by heavy rains at several places in the Ramban district.

11. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma recently announced the construction of Assam’s first-ever underwater tunnel, connecting Numaligarh and Gohpur. This groundbreaking project, estimated to cost Rs 6,000 crores, will be the first rail-road tunnel under the Brahmaputra River in northeast India.

12. AP CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has released Rs 6,12,65,000 under the YSR Law Nestham scheme to benefit 2,677 junior advocates across AP, as a first tranche of the funds meant for them for 2023-24.

13. The state government of Telangana had started crediting Rythu Bandhu funds for the kharif season to farmers’ accounts on Monday.

14. The Manipur High Court has directed the state government to provide limited internet services in some designated places.

15. Indian Medical Association has selected Dr. K. Venugopal, chief consultant in respiratory medicine at General Hospital, Alappuzha (City in Kerala) for the Indian Medical Association (IMA) awards under the category of community service. He will receive the award at a function to be held at IMA headquarters in New Delhi on July 1, 2023.

16. BJP Rajya Sabha MP Hardwar Dubey passed away at a hospital in Delhi. He was 74-years-old.

1. India summoned a senior diplomat from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and lodged a protest over the recent attacks on Sikh community members in Pakistan.

2. Google has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal’s (NCLAT) order upholding the Competition Commission of India’s ₹1,338-crore penalty on the company. The fine was imposed on Google over its anti-competitive practices.

3. At least 10 people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between two buses under Digapahandi police limit in Odisha’s Ganjam district on the intervening night of Sunday.

4. Stepping up its search operations in the face of the ongoing conflicts in Manipur, a joint team of state police and central forces destroyed 12 bunkers and recovered six mortar shells and an IED from several districts, both in the hill and the valley, in the last 24 hours.

5. At least five people, including two Border Security Force personnel, were injured when villagers attacked a border outpost in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district.

6. National Investigation Agency conducted a series of raids across four districts in Kashmir on Monday as part of its probe into an alleged conspiracy involving newly-floated offshoots of proscribed Pakistan-backed terror outfits to destabilise Jammu and Kashmir.

4. Infosys and Danske Bank have entered into a long-term collaboration aimed at accelerating the bank’s digital transformation goals. The collaboration, valued at $454 million for an initial 5-year period.

1. India is yet to finalise the cost and specific terms of purchase of 31 MQ-9B long endurance drones from the US and it will examine the “best price” offered by the manufacturer to other nations before concluding the procurement.

2. Security forces released 12 Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) militants in Manipur’s Itham village after a mob of over 1200 people led by women, surrounded the target area and prevented them from continuing with the operation.

The Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), a Meitei militant group, was involved in a number of attacks, including the ambush of a 6 Dogra unit in 2015.

3. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is planning its first joint military drill amid regional strain with China. Recently ASEAN Chief of Defence Forces Meeting in Bali, organized on June 7, ten ASEAN military chiefs agreed to conduct routine joint training and coordinated patrols in waters of the South China Sea.

4. The Border Security Force (BSF) troop shot down a drone carrying two kg of heroin worth Rs 10 crore near the Indo-Pak border in Sriganganagar district.
