centre to launch one nation one dialysis programme

1. The dates for the conduct of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2022 have been announced. The UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 Exam dates have been merged this year. The UGC NET 2022 Exam will begins on July 8 and conclude on August 14.

2. Directorate of Tourism Kashmir organised a day long awareness program on Homestay Entrepreneurship in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Programme aims to train youth and their families to establish Homestay facilities for tourists which will create employment avenues for youth.

3. Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandavia said the Centre will roll out the “One Nation, One Dialysis” programme to help patients undergoing dialysis get the procedure done anywhere in the country at any time

4. President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Vrindavan today. He will meet and interact with the inmates of Krishna Kutir.

5. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar is on a two-day visit to Nagaland.

6. Tribal Affairs Ministry organised Mega Health Camp for tribal people at Khunti in Jharkhand.

7. HIGHLIGHTS OF *90TH MANN KI BAAT* programme, PM Modi highlighted that:

(a) In the past few years, many big feats related to the space sector have been accomplished in the country. One of these achievements has been the creation of an agency named In-Space.

PM Modi cited the example of two startups in Chennai and Hyderabad – Agnikul and Skyroot! These start-ups are developing launch vehicles that will take small payloads into space.

(b) He spoke about Tanveer Ahmed of Digantara, which is another space start-up that is trying to map waste in space. Both Digantara and Dhruva Space are going to make their first launch from ISRO’s launch vehicle on the 30th of June.

(c) PM exhorts Indians to never forget the dreadful period of emergency; Says, people of the country defeated dictatorial mindset through democratic means.

(d) Touching on the topic of Sports, PM Modi spoke about Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra who is setting new records of success, one after the other. Neeraj won the silver at Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland. Not only that, he also broke the record of his own Javelin Throw. PM said Neeraj once again made the country proud by winning the gold in Kuortane Games.

(e) PM exuded pride that India’s youth are setting new records from Start-Ups to the Sports World. In the recently held Khelo India Youth Games as well, Indian players set many records.

(f) PM Modi stated that sports and fitness cannot be complete without another name – this is Telangana’s s mountaineer Poorna Malavath. He said that by completing the 7 summit challenge, Poorna has added another feather in her cap of success. He lauded Purna for ascending the highest peak of North America Mount Denali and bringing honour to the country.

(g) He also discussed Mithali Raj, one of the most talented cricketers in India. She announced her retirement from cricket this month. Mr. Modi said Mithali has not only been an extraordinary player but has also been an inspiration to many players.

11. *KARNATAKA* : Seven people were killed and four others sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in fell off a bridge in Karnataka’s Belagavi district on Sunday.

12. Calling the issue of foeticide in Karnataka’s Belagavi district serious, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that anyone involved in carrying out illegal abortions will face legal action.

15. Govt schools in Kolkata to resume offline classes from Jun 27. Schools have been issued an advisory by the state education department, asking them to adhere to COVID-19 protocols. The state government has asked schools to ensure all teachers and non-working staff are vaccinated.

*DELHI* : Aam Aadmi Party AAP’s Durgesh Pathak has won the Rajender Nagar By- poll in Delhi

*JHARKHAND* , Congress candidate Shilpi Neha Tirkey won the Mandar assembly seat in the bye-election. The bye-election was necessitated after Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey was convicted in a disproportionate assets case.

*PUNJAB* , the President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Amritsar and party candidate from Sangrur constituency Simranjit Singh Mann has won the Loksabha by-poll.

*TRIPURA* by-election, the BJP has won three seats out of four. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has won from Baradowali Center

*UTTAR PRADESH* by-elections, BJP won both Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituencies.

*The bypolls were necessitated by the resignations of Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan from Azamgarh and Rampur seats, respectively. Both leaders quit as Lok Sabha MPs following their election to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the elections held earlier this year.

17. Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr Venkataraman Krishnamurthy, who is hailed as the ‘Father of public sector undertakings in India’, has passed away at the age of 97. Krishnamurthy served as the Chairman of government-owned companies such as SAIL, GAIL (India) and BHEL between 1972 and 1990. He was also the Founding Chairman of Maruti Udyog, now known as Maruti Suzuki India.
