1.Over one crore children between the age group of 12 to 14 years have received their first dose of COVID Vaccine. Health Minister Mansukh mandviya congratulates all the young warriors who got vaccinated.
2. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar informed the Lok Sabha that a total of 9.11 crore vaccine doses are administered to the age group of 15 to 18 years.

8. *MAHARASHTRA* : An RPF constable saved the life of a man, who fell under a moving train while deboarding it in Mumbai’s Dadar railway station, a clip of which has surfaced on social media. The video shows how the alert constable, Rituraj Rathod, averted a major accident. People were also seen rushing to rescue the man.

Eight people, including two children, were charred to death in the village Bogtui at Rampurhat district just hours after the murder of TMC panchayat leader on 21 Mar.
14. Rajya Sabha member Roopa Ganguly on Friday demanded the imposition of President’s Rule in West Bengal in the wake of violence and deaths in the state’s Birbhum district, leading to a massive protest by the Trinamool Congress members and a brief adjournment of the House proceedings.

15. Finance Bill, 2022 passed in Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha on 25 Mar passed the Finance Bill, 2022, completing the Budgetary exercise for the financial year 2022-23. The Bill was approved by Lower House after accepting 39 official amendments moved by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Bill proposed introduction of a new section to tax virtual digital assets (VDAs) and retrospective disallowance of deduction for surcharge or cess.
16. The prices of petrol and diesel on Friday were once again hiked across the country after a gap of a day. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise per litre in the national capital. The petrol and diesel in Delhi will cost Rs 97.81 per litre and Rs 89.07 per litre respectively.
17. Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani on Friday resigned as director of Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure, following markets regulator SEBI order restraining him from associating with any listed company.

18. A speech by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Assembly on Thursday has gone viral with many sharing it with the hashtag KejriwalhatesKP, alleging that he hates Kashmiri Pandits. In the video, Arvind Kejriwal is seen mocking BJP leaders for “promoting The Kashmir Files”.
19. He questioned the decision of various state governments to make the film tax free. “Ask Vivek Agnihotri to put the film on YouTube. Everyone can watch it for free. What’s the need to make the movie tax free,” Kejriwal is seen asking in the video.
20. Netizens questioned why was it wrong to promote a film by a political party. when the AAP government in Delhi had made movies like 83, Nil Battey, Sannata, Dangal, Neerja, and Hindi Medium tax free.

21. The Kashmir Files was released on March 11. Based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990, the film stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film is bankrolled by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios.

DEFENCE:
22. Zoji la Pass has been opened for civilian traffic.
Defence Ministry says in a release that the first civilian convoy comprising 560 vehicles carrying fresh supplies, medicines and other essential items and passenger vehicles crossed over to Ladakh from Sonamarg.
23. Ministry of Defence has signed a contract on March 25, with Larsen & Toubro Ltd. for acquisition of Two Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPVs) for Indian Navy at an overall cost of Rs. 887 Crore under “Buy-Indian” Category. The contract was signed in the presence of VAdm SN Ghormade, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Additional Secretary & Director General Acquisition. Delivery of vessels is scheduled to commence from May 2025.
24. MPVs will be the first of its kind platform, constructed to provide a cost-effective solution to meet a variety of requirements of Indian Navy. These vessels, to be built by L&T Shipyard at Kattupally (Chennai), will perform multi-role support functions such as maritime surveillance & patrol, launching/ recovery of torpedoes and operation of various types of aerial, surface and underwater targets for Gunnery/ ASW firing exercises.
25. These vessels would also be capable of towing ships and rendering Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief (HADR) support with limited hospital ship capability. They will also act as trial platform for naval weapons and sensors under development, support platform for ISV & salvage operations, and to provide logistics support for our island territories.
26. What is operation AAHT?
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) recently launched a nationwide operation to combat human trafficking. Special teams will be deployed on all long-distance trains/routes as part of “Operation AAHT,” with an emphasis on rescuing victims, particularly women and children, from the clutches of the traffickers
27. On 22nd March 2022, a joint exercise between the Indian Army’s Agnibaaz Division and the Maharashtra Police named Exercise Suraksha Kavach 2 was organized at Lullanagar, Pune.
India Army’s Counter Terrorism Task Force (CTTF), Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad along with Dog Squads, Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), and Bomb Disposal Teams of the army, as well as the police, took part in this exercise.
28. The 9th Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE-2022 between the Indian Army and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) is being conducted at Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA), Seychelles from 22 March to 31 March 22.
Exercise LAMITIYE is a biennial training event, been conducted in Seychelles since 2001. The objective of this joint training exercise is to build and promote bilateral military relations, sharing experiences gained during various operations; exchanging skills and good practices between both armies.
