1. As monsoon has caused heavy rainfall in most of the Indian states, many are facing the wrath of high-intensity rainfall in India; Kedarnath Yatra stopped till further orders at Sonprayag in Rudraprayag District in Uttarakhand.

With the onset of monsoon, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in several regions of India including Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, for the next two-three days.

6. UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated Reliance-backed Addverb Technologies’ robot manufacturing plant in Greater Noida. This is India’s largest robotic manufacturing unit, authorities said, adding it has been set up with an investment of ₹200 crore.

(b) He also inaugurated the Parthala Bridge which connects Noida to Greater Noida West. Built at a cost of about ₹80 crore, the ‘signature flyover’ is the first cable-stayed bridge in Noida.

11. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde on Sunday visited coastal areas after heavy rainfall caused waterlogging in several parts of Mumbai.

Four people have been rescued and two others are trapped after a portion of a building collapsed in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar East following heavy rainfall.

12. UPSC is hiring eligible candidates to fill up 260 vacancies for various posts. The online application starts from 24.06.23 and the last date for submitting the application form is 13.07.23.

1. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that PM Modi’s visit to the US has been historical and it redefined strategic participation in various areas of common goals between two countries.

2. India has achieved the milestone of 101 Million Metric Standard Cubic Meters per Day of gas production.

3. The Reserve Bank of India has canceled the license of a co-operative bank for non-compliance of banking rules.

RBI has imposed a fine of lakhs on 4 cooperative banks for violating different norms. These include Tamil Nadu State Apex Co-operative Bank, Bombay Mercantile Co-operative Bank, Janata Sahakari Bank and Baran Nagrik Sahakari Bank. A fine of Rs 44 lakh has been imposed on these banks.

4. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said the central bank will strive to bring down the inflation to 4%, which stood at 4.25% in May.

5. Rihanna has announced that she will be stepping down as CEO of her lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty, which she founded in 2018. Hillary Super, former global CEO of Anthropologie Group will succeed Rihanna beginning June 26.

1. Price of drone deal with US not finalised, reports are speculative:
The Defence Ministry has issued a statement on the proposed purchase of MQ-9B drones from the US.

2. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) will compare the acquisition cost with the best price offered by General Atomics (GA) to other countriesIndia is yet to finalise the cost and specific terms of purchase of 31 MQ-9B long endurance drones.

3. Major Rama Raghoba Rane, PVC (26 June 1918 – 11 July 1994) was an officer in the Indian Army. He was the first living recipient of the Param Vir Chakra along with Karam Singh, India’s highest military decoration.

Major Rane served in the British Indian Army during the Second World War. He remained in the military during the post-war period and was commissioned in the Bombay Sappers Regiment of the Indian Army’s Corps of Engineers on 15 December 1947. In April 1948, during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, Rane played a key role in the capture of Rajauri by Indian forces by being instrumental in clearing several roadblocks and minefields.
