1. President Droupadi Murmu stressed on decentralisation of better medical facilities and more research in the healthcare institutions in the country. The President was addressing the Centenary celebrations function of Patna Medical College and Hospital ( PMCH) at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna.

2. The Mahakumbh in Prayagraj is gearing up to its end on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri today. The 45-day long spiritual mega event has so far hosted 64 crore 47 lakh devotees.

6. Unified Pension Scheme: The central government has announced the implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for government employees covered under the National Pension System (NPS). 7. Telangana government will launch a life sciences policy, which will focus on entering new domains, turning the state into a global pharma hub and attracting more investments into the sector, said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

8. Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced in the assembly on Tuesday that the disbursement of funds under the Talliki Vandanam welfare scheme would start in May 2025.

1. Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report has revealed that scrapped liquor policy implemented in 2021 by the Aam Aadmi Party government caused a revenue loss of over two thousand crore rupees to state exchequer. On the second day of the Delhi Assembly session yesterday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta tabled the CAG report in the House.

2. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted extensive searches at over 60 locations across the country in connection with the GainBitcoin crypto currency scam.

3. A Delhi court, awarded life imprisonment to former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar in a murder case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Special judge Kaveri Baweja pronounced the judgement for the murders of Jaswant Singh and his son Tarundeep Singh on 01 November 1984. Kumar was already serving a life sentence for another riot-related murder case, and his appeal is pending in the Supreme Court.

4. In Chhattisgarh, nine Maoists have surrendered in the Bijapur district of the Bastar division. Among them, four had reward of 23 lakh rupees for their capture

5. In Punjab, a massive day-long state-level operation has been carried out throughout the state against illegal travel agents. The raids were conducted against 1,274 immigration firms. Seven travel agents who found defaulters have been arrested.

In Maharashtra, one woman passenger died, and 22 others were injured in a collision involving a private travel bus on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Dhule district.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has allowed deposit withdrawals of up to 25,000 rupees per depositor, effective from 27th February 2025. In its press release, the RBI stated that this relaxation will allow more than 50 per cent of total depositors to withdraw their entire balances, while the remaining depositors can withdraw up to 25,000 rupees from their accounts.

A descendant of the historic Shirke family of Maharashtra on Monday said that members of the family might take to the streets in protest against the inaccuracies shown in the film Chhava. The Shirke family has alleged that two of their ancestors, Maratha commanders Ganoji and Kanhoji Shirke, were shown in the film as having betrayed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, leading to his capture by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conferred gallantry, distinguished service and meritorious service medals to personnel of the Indian Coast Guard at an investiture ceremony in New Delhi. A total of 32 medals were presented including six President’s Tatrakshak Medals for Distinguished Service, 11 Tatrakshak Medals for Gallantry and 15 Tatrakshak Medals for Meritorious Service.

2. The Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi held a meeting with French Army Chief General Pierre Schill during his ongoing visit to France. During the meeting General Dwivedi discussed aspects of bilateral defence cooperation, further nurturing the military bond between both Armies and enhancing mutual commitment towards global peace and security.
