1. Veer Bal Diwas is observed today, annually on 26 December in India. This day honours the immense bravery and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four sons, particularly the younger ones, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. At the time of their martyrdom, Zorawar was just 9 years old, while Fateh was only 6. In 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Veer Bal Diwas would be celebrated on 26 December to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
2. PM Modi yesterday laid the foundation stone of the country’s first ambitious and multipurpose Ken-Betwa National River Linking Project in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, on the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
3. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the country’s first Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 1,153 Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawans.

9. Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah dedicated more than ten thousand newly established multipurpose primary agricultural cooperative societies, dairy, and fisheries cooperatives to the nation. The Commission for Air Quality Management CAQM Sub-Committee on Graded Response Action Plan GRAP has revoked Stage IV of the revised GRAP in the entire National Capital Region with immediate effect. All actions under Stages III, II, and I of the revised GRAP shall, however, remain invoked and be implemented, monitored, and reviewed by all agencies concerned in the entire NCR to ensure that the AQI levels do not slip.
14. Union Minister Giriraj Singh has proposed that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s top civilian honour. Singh praised both leaders for their significant contributions to their respective states.
15. MT Vasudevan Nair, reknowned writer and recipient of the Jnanpith award, passed away at the age of 91 on Wednessday. He had been receiving medical care at a private hospital in Kozhikode after suffering heart failure.
