1. In Jammu and Kashmir, a terrorist associate was killed in an ongoing anti-terrorist operation in Bazipora Kulnar area of Ajas in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The killed terrorist associate has been identified as Altaf Lalli, a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit.

2. Houses of two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists Adil Thokar and Asif Shaikh, involved in the Pahalgam attack, were destroyed in a blast on Thursday night in Anantnag and Awantipora, respectively.

3. A high security alert has been issued across Jammu and Kashmir following specific intelligence inputs warning of possible terror attacks targeting railway infrastructure, Kashmiri Pandits, and non-local workers in the Valley.

1. Days after the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, the website of the Army College of Nursing has been hacked, allegedly by a Pakistan-based hacker group called Team Insane PK.

The Army College of Nursing—an autonomous institution under the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and not directly part of the Indian Army — is located in Jalandhar Cantonment. An AWES spokesperson confirmed that the breach has been reported to cyber-crime authorities and that forensic teams are working to secure the website.

2. The Supreme Court recently ordered the Indian Army to pay a disability pension and arrears to a soldier who was released from service thirty-six years ago for suffering from seizures [Bijender Singh v Union of India & Ors].

A Bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan ordered the army to grant the disability element of disability pension to Bijender Singh at the rate of 50% with effect from January 1996 onwards for life.

3. Pakistan Army violates ceasefire at multiple locations along Line of Control; Indian Army retaliates effectively.

Troops from Pakistan and India exchanged fire overnight across the line of control in disputed Kashmir, officials have said, after the UN urged the nuclear-armed rivals to show “maximum restraint” after Tuesday’s massacre of Indian tourists by Islamic militants.
