1. Rajasthan is all set to vote on Saturday to elect members of a new assembly. Polling will be held from 7 am to 6 pm in 199 out of 200 constituencies amid tight security arrangements, chief electoral officer Praveen Gupta said.

2. PM Modi has paid tributes to Lachit Borphukan on Lachit Diwas. Lachit Borphukan (24 Nove1622 – 25 April 1672) was an Ahom Borphukan, primarily known for commanding the Ahom Army and the victory in the Battle of Saraighat (1671) that thwarted an invasion by the vastly superior Mughal Forces under the command of Ramsingh I.

3. Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday said the ministry of electronics and information technology (Meity) will develop a platform on which people can notify the ministry about IT rule violations by social media platforms.

4. The Western Railway (WR) is going to suspend train services in Mumbai for 20 days, starting from Tuesday, November 27. The train services will be suspended to allow the launch of a girder of the under-construction Gokhale Bridge that connects SV Road and Western Express Highway at Andheri.

5. Union Health Ministry has said that it is closely monitoring the reported outbreak of H9N2 cases and clusters of respiratory illness in children in northern China. Assures they are prepared for any kind of exigency.

6. Mumbai is preparing to host the `Mumbai Festival 2024′, a nine-day fiesta that will be a bhelpuri of popular events such as the Kala Ghoda Arts festival, the Mumbai marathon along with others such as music fest, an expo, cinema and beach fests, movie competition, cricket clinic, start-up fest etc. The event, scheduled to take place between January 20 and 28.

7. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has achieved another milestone in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor project by successfully completing the construction of 100 km of viaduct, and 250 km of pier work.

8. *THE ODISHA GOVERNMENT WITHDRAWS DECISION TO ALLOW TRANSFER OF TRIBAL LAND TO NON-TRIBALS ON 24 NOVEMBER* : The State govt. rescinded its decision to amend Orissa Scheduled Areas Transfer of Immovable Property (By Scheduled Tribes) Regulation, 1956 (OSATIP) which would have allowed transfer of tribal land to non-tribals.

9. PM Modi will visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru on Saturday and is expected to review the functioning of the state-run plane maker and visit some of its manufacturing facilities.

10. Pilots of Indian carriers will soon have their airlines’ ‘standard operating procedures’ to fall back on when faced with satellite signal jamming or spoofing, problems that could affect an aircraft’s navigation systems.

11. Telangana Assembly Elections 2023: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Armoor. He said, a hospital for beedi workers will be set up in Nizamabad. Mr Shah said, Centre is setting up a turmeric board for the farmers. Farmers will get remunerative prices through the board.

12. Haryana CM Manohar Lal says Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be carried out for 50 days in Haryana under Viksit Bharat Yatra Jan Samvad.

13. Eight vans of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra dispatched off to rural areas in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, Maharashtra in the presence of Union Minister Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad.

14. Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala will confer the National Gopal Ratna Awards -2023 on Sunday at Guwahati in Assam.

16. The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday declared no ‘non-veg day’ for November 25 to mark the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sadhu TL Vaswani. As per the notification issued all slaughterhouses and meat shops in the state will remain closed on Saturday.

1. The Supreme Court held that High Courts and Sessions Courts can grant interim anticipatory bail even when the FIR is registered in another state.

The Bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan observed that ‘ anticipatory bail as well as transit anticipatory bail are intrinsically linked to personal liberty under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.’

2. *MANIPUR TRIBAL BODY WARNS KONSARAM BODIES NOT TO INDULGE IN “NEEDLESS CONTROVERSIES”* : The
Committee on Tribal Unity, or the CoTU, Sadar Hills advised Konsaram bodies not to indulge in “needless controversies” when two communities are in a warring mode.

3. An FIR has been registered in Karnataka against the Chairperson of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Priyank Kanoongo for inspecting an orphanage in Bengaluru named “Darul Uloom Sayyadiya Yatim Khana”.

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has noted in the letter that the orphanage is not registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 as mandated by Section 41 of the Act. The Chairperson noted that the orphanage does not fulfil the infrastructural requirements for accommodating around 200 children.

1. The Reserve Bank of India on 24 November slapped penalties totaling ₹10.34 crore on Citibank, Bank of Baroda, and Indian Overseas Bank for contravention of norms.

2. The Supreme Court on Friday said it had no reason to “discredit” SEBI, which probed allegations against the Adani group, as there was no material before it to doubt what the market regulator had done and the court did not have to treat what was set out in the Hindenburg report as a “true state of affairs”.

3. The Reserve Bank of India has added 19 more entities, platforms and websites to the Alert List of unauthorized forex trading platforms.

4. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD 170 million loan to modernize water supply services in Kochi, a city in Kerala, India. The loan aims to improve urban living standards, ensure clean water access, and boost climate resilience.

5. The Reserve Bank has superseded the Board of Directors of Abhyudaya Cooperative Bank Limited and appointed the former Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Mr. Satya Prakash Pathak as its Administrator.

6. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurates the new Aayakar Bhavan of the Income Tax Department in Kochi.

The new building was constructed at the cost of about Rs 64 crore. The Minister releases “Tax Deductors Guide 2023, a compendium of provisions of TDS in Malayalam on the occasion.

7. Blue Dart Express has announced a strategic partnership with India Post to introduce automated Digital Parcel Lockers at selected post offices.

1. The Indian Coast Guard and the Navy will acquire 15 C-295 transport aircraft that are being manufactured in India in a joint venture between Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus.

2. The Russian Navy proposes dismantling the damaged nuclear-powered submarine “Shchuka-B” from Project 971U, which was leased to the Indian Navy and renamed “Chakra-2.”For budgetary reasons, the Russian Navy’s Main Command has deemed it impractical to repair and modernise the damaged nuclear-powered submarine “Nerpa,” which is now at one of the shipyards in Vladivostok.

3. The Indian Army on Friday located the hideout in the forests of Rajouri district that was being used by terrorists to carry out their operations in the recent Rajouri encounter in which five army personnel lost their lives. Sharing pictures of the “small cave,” the army officials said that such hideouts were “relatively difficult to detect and breach.

4. The security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have seized over 500 properties as part of their ongoing offensive against militant networks, militant groups and the funding of militancy.

5. India is set to begin three mega defence projects worth over Rs 1.4 lakh crore. India is now set to give preliminary approval to three mega indigenous projects to manufacture another aircraft carrier, 97 more TEJAS fighters and 156 “Prachand” light combat helicopters.

The Tuskers (No. 5 Squadron of the Indian Air Force) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee on Friday at Air Force Station, Ambala, to commemorate the achievements on completion of 75 years of its service.The Tuskers was raised on November 2, 1948, under the leadership of Wing Commander JRS ‘Danny’ Dantra in Kanpur.

7. General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said, some of the terrorists who have crossed over into India from across the border are retired Pakistani soldiers.

8. 17th edition of the Indo-Nepal joint military training exercise SURYAKIRAN-XVII commenced with great fervour in Pithoragarh District, Uttarakhand.
