PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Noida International Airport in Jewar

2. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh on 25 Nov. The development of the airport is in line with Prime Minister’s vision towards boosting connectivity and creating a future-ready aviation sector.

3. Union Cabinet has approved continuation of National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for next five years. The cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi accorded its approval for stipendiary support of three thousand 54 crore rupees to apprentices who undergo apprenticeship training under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26. Approximately nine lakhs apprentices will be trained by industry and commercial organisations.

4. Union Cabinet has approved the extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana for another four months. The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana is a food security welfare scheme that was envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide assistance and help mitigate the economic impact of Covid-19. Under the scheme food grain at five kilogram per person per month free of cost to all beneficiaries covered under National Food Security Act.

5. PM Modi has said that Poshan Abhiyan should be implemented in mission mode in each state with a whole of government approach. While reviewing the Poshan Abhiyaan during the 39th PRAGATI Interaction on 24 Nov.

6. Up to the 38 editions of PRAGATI meetings, 303 projects having a total cost of 14.64 lakh crore rupees have been reviewed. PRAGATI is the ICT based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation and it involves the Centre and the State governments.

7. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin the exams for the major papers from next week. CBSE term 1 board exams for Class 10 are scheduled to be held between November 30 and December 11 and for Class 12 students, major papers will be held from December 1 to December 22. CBSE has already started the exams for the minor papers. The board will hold the CBSE term 1 exams in offline centre-based mode at multiple examination centres across the country.

8. The Union Cabinet on 24 Nov approved a bill to repeal the three farm laws, which triggered protests at Delhi borders by thousands of farmers. The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 was approved days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to repeal the three central farm laws.

9. ANDHRA PRADESH : Pegging the overall damage caused by the recent heavy rains and floods at Rs 6.054.29 crore, the Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday requested the Centre to immediately release Rs 1,000 crore as interim relief towards flood relief and restoration works.

10. DELHI : The Supreme Court reimposed the ban on construction activities in Delhi after taking note of air quality. Non-polluting activities relating to construction like plumbing work, interior decoration, electrical work, and carpentry are allowed to be continued.

24. Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal on Wednesday said the state government will give financial aid of ₹3,000 to fishermen families. The decision was taken to provide relief to fishermen following the COVID-19 pandemic and the ban on fishing in October and November due to heavy rain. For this, ₹47.84 crore will be allotted from CM’s distress relief fund.

27. The defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared the long-pending proposal for a deal with Russia to manufacture 6 lakh AK 203 assault rifles for the Army in India, sources confirmed on Tuesday. The deal had been struck over several points for nearly two years, including negotiations over technology transfer.

28. The defence acquisition council (DAC) gave its go-ahead to a ₹2,236-crore air force proposal to buy GSAT-7C satellite and ground hubs for improved real-time communication, the defence ministry said.
