1. President Droupadi Murmu said that the central government is taking all steps to improve infrastructural facilities in tribal villages, including quality education, skill development, and mobile networks. Speaking at the foundation day of Bharatiya Biswabasu Shabara Samaj at Kaliapalli in Nayagarh district of Odisha.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited inputs from citizens for the Mann Ki Baat programme on Akashvani, which will take place on the 30th of this month. It will be the 120th episode of the monthly radio programme. 3. Both Houses of Parliament yesterday witnessed multiple adjournments over the reported remarks of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to change the Constitution for providing reservation to a particular minority group.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has expressed concern over the issue of recovery of cash from the residence of Delhi High Court Justice and called for the eradication of such malaise to prevent a recurrence. Mr Dhankhar today held a meeting with Leader of the House JP Nadda and Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge over the issue in the Parliament House.
5. The Centre has notified an increase in the salary, daily allowance and pension of members and former members of Parliament. The monthly salary for members of parliament has been increased from one lakh rupees to one lakh 24 thousand. The daily allowance has been raised from two thousand rupees to two thousand five hundred rupees. The monthly pension for members and ex-members of parliament has been revised from 25 thousand rupees to 31 thousand rupees. It will be effective from 1st April 2023.

Telangana State Assembly has passed a resolution adopting the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act (Central Act 42), 1994 and Rules, 1995, and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues (Amendment) Act of 2011 (THOTA). State Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha moved the resolution in the Assembly.
7. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis released a progress report book on the achievements of the state’s energy department during the first 100 days of the government. The report highlights the performance of key public sector energy companies, including MahaVitaran, MahaGenco, MahaTransco, and MahaUrja.

An Accident At Bullet Train Site Near Ahmedabad : At least 65 trains were impacted after a 500-tonne gantry used to launch viaducts on pillars collapsed at the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (HSR) corridor project site in Vatva near Ahmedabad late on Sunday evening.
While no casualties were reported, thousands of passengers travelling by train from Mumbai towards Ahmedabad faced cancellations or delays.

1. SEBI Doubles FPI Disclosure Threshold to ₹50,000 Cr : Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved a proposal to double the investment threshold for granular disclosures by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) to 50,000 crore rupees.
2. The Reserve Bank on Monday issued revised guidelines on Priority Sector Lending (PSL) to facilitate better targeting of bank credit to the priority sectors of the economy. The new guidelines will come into effect from April 1, 2025, the RBI said.

Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Tarun Sobti said the Indian Navy and the Tanzania Peoples Defence Force will co-host the exercise, titled “AIKEYME” or Africa-India Key Maritime Engagement, off Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania in mid-April and it is set to be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
