14. MBBS students in Haryana ended their 54-day-long protest against the state’s bond policy on Saturday, three days after the state government notified its amended bond policy. The amended policy has reduced the duration of compulsory government service to five years. The bond amount has been reduced to ₹25.77 lakh and ₹23.19 lakh for male and female students respectively.
15. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Saturday held talks with the members of left-leaning students’ outfits who staged a protest during his visit to Jadavpur University (JU) earlier in the day. SFI and FETSU members raised slogans demanding an early students’ union election.
