(a) In Rajasthan , out of seven seats, ruling BJP has won five seats while Bharat Adivasi Party(BAP) has bagged one seat, while Congress is secured one seat.

(b) In West Bengal , ruling Trinamool Congress has won all six seats.

(c) In Assam , the NDA has registered victories in all the five assembly seats. The BJP won three seats while its allies Asom Gana Parishad and United People’s Party Liberal bagged one seat each.

(d) In Karnataka , ruling Congress has won all three seats.

(e) In Meghalaya , ruling NPP has grabbed the lone Gambegre seat.

(f) In Uttarakhand , Kedarnath assembly seat has gone in the favour of BJP.

(g) In Gujarat, BJP won the lone Vav assembly seat.

(h) In Uttar Pradesh, ruling NDA won seven out of nine seats; The BJP has bagged six seats while its ally RLD has got one seat. Samajwadi Party has won two seats.

(j) In Punjab , out of four seats, ruling AAP clinched three, while Congress has bagged one seat.

In Chattisgarh, ruling BJP has won the Raipur City South assembly bypoll.

(k) In Bihar , the ruling NDA has swept the bypolls to all the four assembly segments.

(l) In Kerala , Congress and CPI(M) got one seat each.

4. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has won the by-election from the Wayanad Parliamentary constituency of Kerala. She defeated her nearest rival and CPI candidate Sathyan Mokeri by over four lakh votes. The election was necessitated in Wayanad after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi won from both Wayanad and Rae Bareli constituencies. However, he decided to retain the Rae Bareli seat.

5. The Congress on Saturday managed to win the Nanded Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra :Congress’s Ravindra Chavan wins Lok Sabha bypolls.

6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Akashvani at 11 AM today. It will be the 116th episode of the monthly radio programme.

7. The Union government will hold an all-party meeting today ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament. The meeting will be presided over by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The winter session will commence from Monday and will continue till 20th of December.

8. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju has launched the Haj Suvidha App 2.0 in New Delhi on Saturday. Presiding over a conference of chairpersons of Haj Committees of states and union territories, the Minister said, every follower of Islam wish to go for the Haj Yatra at least once in their lifetime.

9. Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal flagged-off the fleet of green hydrogen buses of National Thermal Power Corporation in Ladakh. The Minister conducted a visit to Ladakh from November 20 to 23.

10. Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the third edition of Nayi Chetna- Pahal Badlaav Ki on the 25th of November at Akashvani’s Rang Bhawan. The event will also be attended by Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi.

11. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will lead a Padyatra in New Delhi to commemorate Constitution Day on 25th of November.

12. The NITI Aayog has recommended adding coking coal to India’s critical minerals list, emphasizing its importance in steel production and infrastructure development.

13. Telangana state government has decided to enhance Hyderabad’s drinking water supply by utilising 20 tmc ft of water from the Godavari River, sourced through the Mallannasagar and Konda Pochammasagar as part of second phase of Godavari drinking water project.

14. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in isolated areas of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) and Rayalaseema on Tuesday. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated areas of SCAP and Rayalaseema on 27 November.

15. President Smt Droupadi Murmu has paid tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on the eve of Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur. In her message, President said Guru Tegh Bahadur sacrificed his life for the cause of humanity and for the protection of religion. She said he was a great spiritual guide and a true patriot who promoted love and unity and encouraged people to fight for truth and justice.

Authorities in Andaman and Nicobar Islands have registered an FIR against the operator of a YouTube channel ‘Tour and Travel With Family’ for illegally filming and uploading a video involving the protected Jarawa tribal community on YouTube. The case, filed at Kadamtala Police Station, has invoked Sections 8(4) and 8B of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection of Aboriginal Tribes (Amended) Regulation, 2012, which strictly prohibit photographing or recording the aboriginal tribes without proper authorisation.

1. The Asia Index Private Ltd, a subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), announced the latest reconstitution of the benchmark BSE Sensex index. As part of this rejig, Zomato, the online food delivery giant, will replace JSW Steel in the 30-stock index. This reshuffling will take effect from 23 December 2024 and includes changes in other indices such as the BSE 100, BSE Sensex 50, and BSE Sensex Next 50.

2. Government has approved a one-time special relaxation for automatic provisional empanelment for the successful bidders of Batch-III e-auction under the FM Policy (Phase-III). This relaxation will be effective immediately from the date of operationalisation of their radio channels, providing provisional empanelment with the Central Bureau of Communications for a period of six months.

3. The RBI has increased the UPI 123Pay transaction limit from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000, enhancing digital payment accessibility for India’s 400 million feature phone users. With methods like IVR, missed calls, and sound-based payments, UPI 123Pay enables secure, internet-free transactions.

4. The Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Minister of Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the World Bank’s report titled Jobs at Your Doorstep: A Jobs Diagnostics for Young People in Six States in New Delhi on 22 November 2024. The report focuses on bridging skill gaps in young people and aligning school curricula with industry needs.

5. A Chennai-based devotee, Vardhaman Jain, has donated `1.01 crore each to the SV Annaprasadam Trust and the Pranadana Trust of the TTD at the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala. The cheques were handed over to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary.

1. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India is set to conduct a test of a new advanced sea-to-surface missile in the Bay of Bengal next week, with the test likely to take place near Visakhapatnam.

2. INS Parundu in Rameswaram welcomed over 800 students and staff from ten schools and colleges across the district of Ramanathapuram as part of the Navy Day celebrations. The two-day event inspired the young minds to explore careers in the Defence Forces. The visit featured demonstrations by the Dog Squad and showcased exhibits on medical services, gunnery, meteorology, air traffic control and safety equipment.

3. Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar recently conducted a review of the newly inducted ASMI machine pistols, which are entirely indigenously developed weapons intended for the Indian Army’s Special Forces. This review took place in Udhampur, following the induction of 550 units into the Northern Command.
