1. India carried out a successful training launch of an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile, Agni-3 from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha on Wednesday.
2. The Centre has deployed high-level teams to Ranchi, Ahmedabad and Malappuram amid an increase in the number of measles cases among children there. The Health Ministry said the teams will assist the state health authorities in investigating the outbreak.

3. A 28-year-old man has been arrested from Mumbai’s Andheri, almost two months after he allegedly cheated actor Annu Kapoor of ₹4.36 lakh under the pretext of updating his bank KYC details.

1. The seventh edition of the Handbook of Statistics on Indian States 2021-22 is released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Which seeks to provide comprehensive data about the regional economies of India

3. Airtel Payments Bank introduces a new option, Face authentication-based electronic KYC. Previously a user had to link his Aadhaar card to his account before completing OTP verification or biometric fingerprint authentication.
4. CRISIL has revised its forecast for India’s real gross domestic product (GDP) growth to 7 per cent for the current fiscal (2022-23) from 7.3 per cent estimated previously. The credit rating agency said this is primarily because the slowdown in global growth has started to impact India’s exports and industrial activity.
5. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) equity inflows into India contracted by 14% to $26.9 billion during April-September this fiscal, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) data showed.

2. Veteran TV and film actor Vikram Gokhale passed away at the age of 82 late Wednesday. Gokhale had been admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Pune after his health deteriorated. He was 82 years.

DEFENCE
1. Garuda Shakti, Indian Special Forces troops is currently engaged in a bilateral joint training exercise Garuda Shakti with Indonesian Special Forces. It is the eighth edition of the series of bilateral exercises, which is being held at Sangga Buana Training Area, Karawang, commenced on November 21.
2. Indian Air Force (IAF) has expanded its vehicle fleet with the addition of 12 Tata Nexon EVs.
Indian Air Force is planning to enhance the usage of electric vehicles in a progressive manner by procuring e-vehicles against downgraded conventional vehicles. Augmentation of the e-vehicles ecosystem, including installation of charging infrastructure at various Air Force bases, is also planned.
3. Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chairman of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Dr Samir V Kamat on Wednesday released Compendium of Low Intensity Conflict Products developed by DRDO.
4. Three days apex-level regional strategic dialogue of the Indian Navy, the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2022 began in New Delhi on 23 Nov.
A prosperous Indo-Pacific hinges on a peaceful maritime domain, and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI) holds immense potential for synchronising and synergising the collective efforts towards achieving it, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said.
5. The single squadron of Mi-35 attack helicopters in the Indian Air Force (IAF) are undergoing a complete overhaul in Russia which will extend these helicopter lifespan by six years keeping them in service beyond this decade.
Expanding its fleet of attack helicopters, Indian Air Force (IAF) had inducted the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCH) Prachand in October with the first squadron, 143 Helicopter Unit ‘Dhanush’, based at Jodhpur. Eventually, the Army is looking for another 95 LCH and the IAF another 65 of them and the induction is likely spread over the next 10-15 years.
6. Zorba, India’s first dog to be deployed for tracking down poachers, has died of old age in Guwahati, Assam. Zorba was involved in anti-poaching operations & helped wildlife officials track down more than 60 poachers in Guwahati.
Zorba retired from service in 2019 and was honoured for his services with a traditional Assamese ‘gamosa’ and a citation on Independence Day this year. He served mostly in the Kaziranga National Park from 2012 till his retirement.
7. Pakistan government on Wednesday confirmed that it had received the summary from the Ministry of Defence with a “panel of names” for the appointment of the new chief of army staff (COAS).
