1. Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Sanjay Kaul has officially assumed charge as the Managing Director and Group CEO of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India’s premier International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).
2. Production and export of electronics goods including mobile manufacturing witnessed rapid growth in the last ten years. Production of electronics goods has reached over 11 lakh crore rupees in the last financial year from one lakh 90 thousand crore rupees in 2014-15 exhibiting six times growth. This was stated by Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

1. India is developing a powerful conventional bunker-buster missile based on its Agni-V ballistic missile platform, which weighs about 7,500 kg and is designed to penetrate deeply fortified underground targets up to 80 to 100 meters beneath the surface.
2. India and Japan have recently intensified their cooperation to boost maritime connectivity and regional cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. This initiative was spotlighted during the seminar “IPOI: India-Japan Partnership in Maritime Connectivity” held at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo on 22 July 2025.
3. The Navy is focusing on a land-based version of the Ghatak UCAV capable of deploying BrahMos NG, Astra Mk3, anti-ship missiles, and torpedoes for coastal reconnaissance and strike missions in the Indian Ocean Region. A carrier-based variant is also aimed for induction with salt-resistant materials and sea-optimized sensors for maritime roles.
4. The Indian Air Force is set to open bids for six additional mid-air refuellers to address tanker shortages, with platforms offered by Airbus, Boeing, IAI, and Russia.
5. Goa Shipyard Limited has launched the indigenous pollution control vessel ‘Samudra Prachet’ for the Indian Coast Guard.
6. Indian Navy yesterday hosted a one-day Ship building Seminar in New Delhi. Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Tripathi delivered the keynote address for the event virtually.
