1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will release a book Wings to Our Hopes – Volume 2, based on speeches delivered by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu at a function in New Delhi today. This curated collection of 51 speeches offers a window into the vision, philosophy, and priorities of President Murmu during her second year in office. This vloume will be released in both Hindi and English, along with an e-version. Compiled by Rashtrapati Bhavan.

2. Two-day national conference of Estimates Committees of Parliament and state/UT legislative bodies will begin in Mumbai on Monday. Deliberations will be held on the role of Estimates Committee in effective monitoring and review of Budget Estimates for ensuring efficiency and economy in administration. The conference is being organised to mark the 75th anniversary of the functioning of the Estimates Committee.

3. The All India Airlines Retired Personnel Association organized a solemn prayer meeting at India International Centre, New Delhi to pay homage to people who lost their lives in the recent tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad.

4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. During his visit, he will participate in various programs in the capital, Raipur and the Narayanpur district of the state.

5. Union Minister Manohar Lal Discusses Lohgarh Memorial, Inaugurates Foundation Office in Yamunanagar
Union Housing, Urban Affairs and Power Minister Manohar Lal discussed construction of Lohgarh Memorial and inaugurated the office of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust at PWD Rest House Vyaspur in Yamunanagar, Haryana on Sunday.

6. In Telangana, the state-wide ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ or Revenue Conferences held at the village level during the past over 15 days to resolve long-pending land disputes have received more than eight and a half lakhs applications. The state government has taken the initiative as part of the implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act to resolve agricultural land issues at the village and mandal levels.

7. The Punjab cabinet on Saturday decided to appoint the chief secretary as the chairman of all local development boards in the state, effectively transferring this responsibility from the chief minister, who traditionally held this role.

8. Haryana irrigation and water resources minister Shruti Choudhry on Sunday said that 93% drains across the state have been cleaned and assured that all necessary preparations are underway to control floods before the monsoon.

9. Himachal Pradesh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has announced that the Central Government has given in-principle approval for the construction of the Jalori Jot Tunnel on National Highway-305 (NH-305). The long-awaited project is now set to be included in the Union budget for the financial year 2025–26.

10. Delhi directorate of education (DoE) has decided to implement a uniform age of six years for admissions to Class 1 from the 2026-27 academic session, by restructuring the foundational stage (nursery and KG classes).

11. The mass exodus of Shiv Sena (UBT) corporators continued on Sunday as Ishwar Tayade and Akanksha Shetye, along with more than 100 of their supporters and office bearers, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). So far, over 50 Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders, who were corporators from 2017-2022 have migrated to the BJP, a party that is vying for control of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the upcoming elections.

12. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has added over 19 lakh members in April this year. This represents an increase of 31.31% compared to previous month. According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the new members include more than two lakh female subscribers.

13. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Heavy rainfall is also likely over Northwest and Northeast India for the next three to four days.

1. National Investigation Agency, NIA has arrested another key accused in a CPI (Maoist) Northern Region Bureau terror revival conspiracy case from Delhi. Investigations have revealed that the accused, who originally hails from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, had delivered a drone to leaders of the banned terror outfit in Chhakarbanda and Panchrukhiya forest area of Bihar to further its anti-national activities.

2. Union Home Minister Amit Shah says anti-Naxal operation to continue even during monsoon; Reiterates government’s resolve to wipe out Maoism by March next.

3. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed Air India to remove three officials from all roles and responsibilities related to crew scheduling and rostering with immediate effect for serious violations.

4. In Mizoram, the Assam Rifles and other law-enforcing agencies have seized drugs valued at 11.53 crore rupees and arrested five drug peddlers, including two women.

5. Authorities began demolishing the illegal portion of a mosque in the Mangolpuri area of northwest Delhi on Sunday. Heavy police deployment has been made at the site to maintain law and order.

6. The Government of Manipur has issued a directive reinforcing strict adherence to The Manipur Names of Places Act, 2024, which governs the naming and renaming of places across the state. The Act, published in the Extraordinary Gazette on March 15, 2024, came into force with immediate effect upon its notification in the Official Gazette of Manipur.

7. IGNOU Degree Not Required To Have Equivalence Certificate From State University : Kerala High Court. If courses offered by Central Universities are required to have equivalence certificate from State Universities, it will be the end of education system, the Court said.

1. INS Nilgiri, the first of the indigenously built Project 17A stealth frigates, arrived at Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Built in Mumbai, INS Nilgiris now makes Visakhapatnam its home port and would be an integral part of the Eastern Sword- Sunrise Fleet. This state-of-the-art warship is driven by its motto – “Adrish Yabalam, Ajeya Shauryam”.

2. The Sarhad Shauryathon 2025 was held on Sunday at the historic Kargil War Memorial in Dras, Ladakh witnessing the enthusiastic participation of over 2,5000 athletes from across the country. The event was organized by Indian Army, in collaboration with Sarhad Foundation, Pune, and the local civil administration of Kargil.
