7. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted Independent Drive Tests to assess mobile network quality in East Uttar Pradesh licensed service area, during December last year. The Ministry of Communications said in a statement that the tests covered city routes across Azamgarh and Mau cities and walk test areas, evaluating 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G services across key voice and data parameters.

9. The India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management is going on in New Delhi. On the second day today, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi, launched ECINET, a unified digital platform integrating over 40 apps and web services.

11. India’s national power transmission network has crossed 5 lakh circuit kilometres, ckm, of transmission lines along with one thousand 407 gigavolt amperes (GVA) of transformation capacity. The Ministry of Power said that since 2014, the country’s transmission network has grown by 71.6 per cent with the addition of 2.09 lakh ckm of transmission lines, boosting transformation capacity by 876 GVA.

1. The Supreme Court has allowed Hindu community to hold prayers from sunrise to sunset on Basant Panchami today at the disputed Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, while permitting Muslims to offer namaz from 1 pm to 3 pm on the day.
2. A special NIA court has sentenced a person to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for being involved in the radicalisation and recruitment of youngsters for Pakistan based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The NIA special court in Kolkata sentenced Sayyad M Idris, a resident of Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district, who was convicted under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The court also imposed a fine of 70 thousand rupees.

The Supreme Court’s recent suo motu intervention on the surge of so-called “digital arrest” frauds has brought national attention to a crime that has quietly devastated thousands of Indian households. President Smt Droupadi Murmu has expressed grief over the loss of lives of army personnel in a road accident in Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ten Army personnel were killed and ten others injured when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences to the families of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in this accident.

1. National School of Drama (NSD) has announced that the 25th edition of Bharat Rang Mahaotsav (BRM) -International Theatre Festival of India will be held from the 27th of this month in Delhi and other cities of India. The theme of this year’s festival is Samvaad, Sanskritiyon ka.
