9. Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has launched the nationwide celebration of Khadi Mahotsav 2025 to promote the ethos of Swadeshi, self-reliance, and cleanliness.
From 17th to 19th September, the KVIC Central Office in Mumbai organized a range of activities aligning with the themes of Swadeshi (self-reliance) and Swachhata (cleanliness).

13. Navratri 2025 day 1: The nine-day festival begins on September 22 and concludes on October 2 with Vijayadashami or Dussehra. Day 1 is dedicated to Maa Shailputri, the mountain goddess, who marks the beginning of the sacred nine nights.

15. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Odisha today. 1. Two persons were detained on Saturday (September 20, 2025) in connection with the ambush on an Assam Rifles convoy, which claimed the lives of two personnel. Two jawans of the Assam Rifles were killed and five others injured when a group of armed men ambushed a vehicle of the paramilitary force.
2. Recently in Chhattisgarh, the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested five persons in connection with irregularities in the recruitment process of the State Public Service Commission examinations held in 2020 and 2021.
3. 11 lakh beneficiaries stand to lose free wheat as Punjab adopts Centre’s criteria. At present, Punjab has 1.52 crore beneficiaries who get free wheat under the National Food Security Act.
After proclaiming that it will not delete beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the Punjab Government has now adopted the Centre’s criteria to exclude individual members of families from the scheme.

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is undertaking a historic visit to Morocco from September 21-23, marking his first official trip to the North African nation at the invitation of Morocco’s Minister Delegate of National Defence, Abdeltif Loudiyi.

4. The Indian Army’s southwestern command carried out a large-scale integrated firepower exercise code named “Amogh Fury”. It is an Integrated Fire Power Exercise conducted by the Indian Army’s Sapta Shakti Command. The exercise took place at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (MFFR) in the Thar Desert, Rajasthan.
5. India Greece Hold First-Ever Naval Exercise Near Turkey: The navies of India and Greece conducted the first bilateral maritime exercise in the Mediterranean near Turkish waters, marking a significant milestone in bilateral naval cooperation. The Indian Navy was represented by INS Trikand, a Talwar-class guided missile stealth frigate.
6. The CRPF has awarded a ₹17 crore contract to India-UAE joint venture firm INCOMM-Caracal for the supply of 200 CSR-338 sniper rifles and 20,000 rounds of ammunition.
7. Indian Air Force officials inspected the C-295 final assembly line in Gujarat to review the progress of the program where the first aircraft has entered assembly with rollout planned for September 2026.
8. HAL Offers Early Tejas MK2 Limited Series Production by 2028: HAL chief has said that the first flight of the Tejas Mark II is slated for early 2027 and full production is targeted for 2030. If the Indian Air Force approves, enabling early induction similar to the Tejas Mark1A strategy, HAL will then begin limited series production from 2028 ahead of certification by end of 2030.
