Senior Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has been assigned the responsibility of three departments, including Electricity and Transport, while Mr Vipul Goyal has been given the Urban Bodies, Revenue, and Disaster Management Departments.

1. In Puducherry Lt. Governor K. Kailashnathan inaugurated the SPARSH Outreach Awareness Programme for Defence Pensioners and Family Pensioners in Chennai at the JIPMER Auditorium in Puducherry. The Lt. Governor Kailashnathan also distributed pension arrear cheques to the families of ex-servicemen who benefited from the SPARSH initiative.
2. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief Of The Naval Staff On An Official Visit To United Arab Emirates from 21 – 24 October 2024. This visit aims to strengthen the defence cooperation between the two countries.
3. The Indian Navy conducted an important bilateral naval exercise named Naseem-Al-Bahr with the Royal Navy of Oman. The exercise took place off the coast of Goa from 13 to 18 October. INS Trikand and a Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft represented India in this collaboration.
