Until I am Chief Minister, I will not allow any privileges to the film industry. Responding to recent deadly stampede incident at Sandhya 70 MM theatre stampede in Secunderabad, Telangana, CM Revanth Reddy said. The management of Sandhya Theatre has been issued a show cause notice by Hyderabad police over 11 lapses during the Pushpa 2 screening that claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman.

Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with a deadly stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. The incident resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman, identified as Revathi, and left her eight-year-old son hospitalised.

Explaining circumstances that led to the stampede, CM Revanth Reddy said that a galaxy of film personalities made a beeline to Allu Arjun’s house after he was released from Chanchalguda prison. “Allu Arjun did suffer any injury on his hand or leg in an accident but film personalities went to his house to console him. But none of the personalities came to the hospital to express solidarity to the boy, who is still battling for life in the hospital,” he said.

CM also said, the film industry could ask for incentives and subsidies but there cannot be so inhuman when a boy, who is brain dead, lost his mother and undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital.
