1. PM Modi said, no power on earth can bring Article 370 and Article 35A back to Jammu and Kashmir as long as the BJP is in power.

2. The second phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on 25th of this month. 26 assembly segments including 11 seats spread over three districts of Jammu Division will go to polls in this phase.

14. The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved a ₹5,000 crore fund to help small businesses, aiming to create 2 million jobs over the next five years. This ₹5,000 crore fund is designed to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), helping them grow and reducing their need for regular loans from banks.

15. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday announced a mega Dasara bonus for Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) workers. The state government will disburse Rs 796 crore as a bonus to SCCL employees. Each of the 41,387 regular employees of the company will receive Rs 1.9 lakh, against last year’s Rs 1.7 lakh. The additional Rs 20,000 per worker reflected the company’s robust performance in 2023-24.

16. Anurag Garg, a 1993-batch IPS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

1. Junior doctors protesting the rape-murder of a colleague at RG Kar hospital ended their 42-day ‘cease work’ on Friday, announcing partial resumption of duties in essential services after a march to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Kolkata following a week-long demonstration outside the state health department’s headquarters.

2. National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at four locations in Punjab on Friday as part of its probe in a terror-conspiracy case involving designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and the Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a banned organisation associated with him.

3. The Supreme Court on Friday asked the Centre to provide information about the numbers and names reiterated by the apex court Collegium for appointment as judges in higher judiciary with reasons why they were not considered so far and at what level they were pending.

4. Tirupati Laddu row intensified on Friday with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which is managing the super-rich temple, backing Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu’s claim that the famous ‘prasadam’ had animal fat and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy dubbing the accusations as ‘atrocious’.

5. In response to the growing concerns over the quality of prasada in temples, the Karnataka government has taken a decisive step to ensure theity and quality of these sacred offerings. A recent directive mandates that all temples governed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department strictly use Nandini brand ghee for all religious purposes.

6. The Supreme Court on Friday questioned the last-minute changes to the NEET-PG 2024, pattern by the National Board of Education, saying it was “very unusual” and students could have a “meltdown”.
