1. Bomb blast in Mangaluru, Karnataka in autorickshaw is suspected to be an act of terror: CM Basavaraj Bommai said.
Prime suspect in the Mangaluru auto-rickshaw blast case has been identified as Mohammed Shariq from Karnataka’s Shivamogga. He had previously been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for painting a pro-terrorism graffiti on a wall in Mangaluru and was out on bail.
2. Reacting to the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala in Delhi, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Our country doesn’t need Aftab, but a person like Lord Ram [and]…leader like PM Narendra Modi.” “We need Uniform Civil Code and law against love jihad. We need such laws where Aftabs can be hanged to death,” he added.
