1. The Government has said that it is ready to hold discussion on key issues including Operation Sindoor as Monsoon Session of Parliament begins today.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-nation visit to the United Kingdom and Maldives from Wednesday. In the first leg, the Prime Minister will travel to UK on 23rd of this month for a two-day visit.

3. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu launched ten new commercial flight routes from Hindon Civil Terminal in Ghaziabad.

4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed the formation of a multi-sectoral central team in view of the frequency and intensity of natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh. The Central Team will consist of experts from National Disaster Management Authority, Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune, and Indian Institute of Technology, Indore.

5. OTT platform to learn Sanskrit launched, teaches Sanskrit, developed by Vyoma Linguistic Labs Foundation, was launched in Bengaluru on Saturday. The platform, available at www.digitalsanskrit.com, features an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered user interface that allows users to explore videos, podcasts, audiobooks, games, and e-books.

6. BITS Pilani announced that it will set up India’s first AI Plus Campus in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The new campus will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related fields and is expected to begin admissions in 2027.

7. Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that Artificial Intelligence training will be provided to ten lakh citizens in the country free of cost, and priority will be given to Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

8. The three-day Youth Spiritual Summit in Varanasi, themed “Drug-Free Youth for Developed India,” concluded with the adoption of the Kashi Declaration. The resolution expressed commitment to a nationwide campaign for drug-free India. Speaking on the occasion, Union Youth Affairs Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the vital role of youth in building a developed India.

9. Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, popularly known as ‘Principal’, has been announced as the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate for the upcoming Tarn Taran by-election. The seat fell vacant following the death of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dr Kashmir Singh Sohal last month. The Election Commission is yet to announce the polling schedule.

10. Heavy rainfall across several parts of Kerala led to rising water levels in rivers and dams, causing water-logging in low-lying areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for nine northern districts.

1. The highly anticipated film Indian 3, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is set to hit theatres in December. Despite the disappointing performance of Indian 2, the makers have decided to revive the project and bring it to a grand conclusion. The film’s sequel was initially planned for release after Indian 2, but the failure of the second instalment led to a change in plans.

2. The three suspects, including Kannada actor Ranya Rao, in the infamous gold smuggling case, will remain in jail for at least a year under provisions of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974 (COFEPOSA).

3. Filmmaker Chandra Barot, best known for directing the 1978 cult classic “Don” starring Amitabh Bachchan, passed away at a hospital in Bandra in Mumbai on Sunday. He was 86.

1. The Indian Navy is participating in the 32nd edition of SIMBEX (Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise) in Singapore, continuing a long-standing tradition of maritime cooperation with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

2. Indian Navy’s indigenously designed and constructed Survey Vessel Large (SVL) INS Sandhayak made her maiden port call at Port Klang, Malaysia, for hydrographic cooperation, from 16 – 19 Jul 2025. This visit demonstrates India’s growing role in regional hydrographic capacity building under the Indian Naval Hydrographic Department (INHD) and the National Hydrographic Office framework.

3. DRDO is working on a 100-tonne extra-large unmanned underwater vehicle (XLUUV) with a ₹2,500-crore budget. The platform will be 16 meters long, capable of carrying 10 tonnes of payload, including torpedoes and mine-laying gear.

4. The Indian Air Force is collaborating with Dao Aviation to integrate the Astra MK2 air-to-air missile, with a 160 km range, into its Mirage 2000 fleet, enhancing their reach over current 80 km range missiles.

5. The Indian Army on Sunday said it will bear the study expenses of a ten-year-old boy, who supplied little meals to soldiers battling gunfight in a Punjab village during Operation Sindoor.
