2. Prime Minister Modi will visit Gujarat today to participate in ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over 34 thousand 200 crore rupees at Bhavnagar.
3. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will roll out Special Campaign 5.0 to promote cleanliness and improve overall workplace environment in its offices. This month-long campaign will be launched on the 2nd of the next month which will continue till the end of October.
4. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expanded the Mukhya Mantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayta Bhatta Yojana. He announced a new financial assistance scheme for unemployed youth in 2025. The scheme aims to empower educated young people and boost employment opportunities ahead of the Assembly elections.
*Earlier, only intermediate pass unemployed youth received benefits. Now, unemployed graduates aged 20 to 25 years will also get ₹1,000 per month for two years. This allowance targets those not studying, employed, or self-employed.
5. The Government of India and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop the International Reference Classification of Occupations.
6. Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin launched the ‘Anbu Karangal’ (Hands of Love) scheme to provide Rs 2,000 monthly aid to orphaned children until they turn 18 or finish school, aiming to protect their education and well-being.
7. Recently Election Commission updates EVM ballot paper design for improved clarity and readability, introducing uniform fonts, clearer photos, and enhanced voter convenience.
8. The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) was launched on 17 September 2025 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It marks the largest health outreach programme for women and children in India. This campaign aims to improve healthcare access, quality, and awareness for women and children nationwide.
9. The Northern Railways will start another train service between Katra and Banihal stations for 15 days from 19 September as an alternative to ensure safe and efficient travel for the public following the disruption of traffic due to the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
10. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, said that the Haryana Government is consistently working to modernize health facilities, promote voluntary blood donation, and ensure the quality of blood bank services in the state.
11. The Punjab government has decided to convene a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly from September 26th to 29th focusing on providing relief to flood victims in the state and introducing several people-oriented amendments to rules related to the damage caused by the recent deluge.
12. Union Minister for Fisheries Rajiv Ranjan Singh in Thiruvanathapuram said that 1,346 crores rupees have been granted for the fisheries sector in Kerala. He was addressing the Blue Tides Kerala European Union Conclave, aimed at ensuring sustainability in the fisheries sector.
13. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, TSRTC, will be operating over 7 thousand 700 special buses across the state to meet the demands of passengers during the upcoming Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals. These services will run from tomorrow till the 2nd of next month.
14. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan announced that Vyommitra, an AI-enabled half-humanoid robot, will fly aboard the uncrewed test mission of the Gaganyaan project by the end of December 2025. This mission is a vital step towards India’s goal of sending humans to a 400 km orbit for three days and ensuring their safe return.
15. Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025, launched by the Ministry of Civil Aviation at Hindon Airport, marks a shift in Indian aviation by prioritizing passenger dignity, comfort, and inclusivity over mere infrastructure.
16. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

According to police sources, the racket used to target people in the USA & Canada under the guise of providing software solutions.
5. The Chhattisgarh Anti-Corruption Bureau and Economic Offences Wing arrested a retired IAS officer in an alleged liquor scam. Niranjan Das, then commissioner of the state excise department, was arrested for his alleged role in assisting the syndicate handling and operating the scam.
