1. PM Modi released the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi of more than eighteen thousand crore rupees at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu yesterday. The amount will support nine crore farmers across the country. Mr Modi also inaugurated the South India Natural Farming Summit on the occasion.

2. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to the Governor this evening and staked claim to form the new NDA government.

NDA had achieved a landslide victory in the recently concluded state Assembly elections, returning to power by clinching 202 seats in the 243-member House.

3. JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar will take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time today. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other dignitaries will attend the event.

Science and Technology Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the country’s first indigenous CRISPR based gene therapy for Sickle Cell Disease, which primarily affects the country’s tribal population. The therapy, named BIRSA 101, is dedicated to legendary tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda, whose 150th anniversary was observed on the 15th of this month.

9. Mumbai-based advocate has moved the Bombay High Court on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) to cancel the BMC’s decision allowing controlled pigeon feeding at four locations, including Airoli-Mulund creekside, citing health, safety and environmental risks.

10. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast severe cold wave conditions in parts of West Madhya Pradesh today. IMD has also said that there will be a gradual rise in minimum temperature by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in Central India during the next five days. The air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the very poor category. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 395 at 8 PM yesterday.

1. In a major crackdown on overseas assets created through suspected bank fraud, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Bhopal Zonal Office, has provisionally attached nine high-end foreign immovable properties in Dubai valued at Rs 51.70 crore.

2. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module was actively developing small rockets for a series of planned blasts, in addition to plotting Hamas-style attacks using drones. The module’s sinister plans were foiled following multiple arrests and raids by the agency.

3. Telangana High Court on Tuesday slammed HYDRAA for carrying out pre-dawn demolitions at the Fertilisers Corporation of India (FCI) Housing Society in Gachibowli. The court questioned the urgency, legality, and jurisdiction of the operation despite earlier court instructions.

4. A Delhi court send gangster Anmol Bishnoi to 11 days of custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) following his deportation from the United States. The agency produced the gangster in Patiala House Court in the National Capital amid tight security.

A significant anti-Maoist operation conducted in Andhra Pradesh’s Maredumilli region resulted in the killing of seven Maoists on Wednesday, a day after six Maoists were eliminated in a related encounter. The seven were killed roughly seven kilometres from the initial site of the Monday exchange of fire, in a forested area within the Alluri Sitaramaraju district.

6. A Delhi court on Wednesday sent Al Falah University chairperson and founder Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui to 13 days’ Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody, after the agency alleged he generated over ₹415 crore in “dishonestly” obtained funds and posed a flight risk due to family ties in Gulf countries.

7. Bengaluru Cash Van Robbery: Thieves Pose as RBI Officials, Get Away with Rs 7.11 Crore.

A dramatic daylight robbery in southern Bengaluru has left police chasing a highly coordinated gang that escaped with Rs 7.11 crore after posing as officials from the Reserve Bank of India.

The Supreme Court is scheduled on Thursday (20 November 2025) to pronounce its advisory opinion on a Presidential Reference questioning the apex court’s authority to “impose” timelines and prescribe the manner of conduct of Governors and the President while dealing with State bills sent to them for assent or reserved for consideration.

9. The Supreme Court on Wednesday indicated that it would consider transferring the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital to either the Delhi or Calcutta High Court. The top court had taken suo motu cognisance of the matter in 2024.

1. Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA), a Bangalore-based defence technology and AI warfare company, has announced a major investment of ₹1,169 crore to establish India’s first full-spectrum Autonomous Combat Aircraft Manufacturing and Testing Facility in Andhra Pradesh.

2. Under the terms of the deal, L&T will indigenously produce the BvS10 Sindhu at its Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira. BAE Systems will provide L&T with technical and design support.
