What is a hybrid eclipse?
A hybrid eclipse is a type of solar eclipse that creates an annular or a total solar eclipse, depending on where you stand in relation to the moon. If the Sun and Moon are very nearly exactly the same size as seen from Earth, it is possible that the Moon will not quite cover the Sun at either end of the path (annular), but will cover it at the middle of the path (total). This is what we call a hybrid, or annular-total, solar eclipse.
It will be visible partly in regions including South/East Asia, Australia, Pacific, Indian Ocean, solar eclipse to not be visible in India. The next solar eclipse in 2023 will fall on 14 October, whereas the two lunar eclipses of the year will be on 5-6 May and 28-29 October.
