1. PM Modi has congratulated ISRO and IN-SPACe for the country’s first-ever private launch of the Vikram Suborbital rocket.
PM said, a historic moment for the country as the rocket Vikram-S, developed by Skyroot Aerospace, took off from Sriharikota on 18 Nov.
2. India’s first ever private Vikram Suborbital rocket was launched at 1130 hours on 18 Nov from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The rocket reached an altitude of 89.5 km with three payloads weighing a total of 83 kilogram.
The rocket safely splashed in the waters of the Bay of Bengal at around 115 km after the lift off from Sriharikota. Praram, the mission of the rocket has the payloads from Space Kidz India, Bazoomq Armenia and N-Space Tech India.

1. Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) plea seeking a recall of activist Gautam Navlakha’s house arrest order. Navlakha is lodged in Taloja jail in Mumbai in connection with the Elgar Parishad-Maoist link case.
2. 140 inmates of Dasna District Jail in Ghaziabad have been diagnosed with HIV, said District Jail Superintendent Alok Kumar Singh on Friday. As per the rules, all prisoners are tested for HIV before they are lodged in jail. “An average of 120 to 150 HIV-positive inmates are living in the jail since 2016.
