1. In Ladakh, the Union Territory Administration has introduced the Universal Health Care Scheme, alongside the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, to ensure quality healthcare for residents in remote and hilly areas.

2. The Election Commission said that it will soon initiate the technical consultations with regard to linking voter ID with Aadhaar.

3. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has proposed an all-party delegation to PM Modi on enhancing education, employment and political reservations to 42 per cent in the state.

4. In Maharashtra, the by-polls for the Legislative Council are set to remain uncontested, as the nomination of independent candidate Umesh Mhatre was declared invalid during scrutiny. This has set the stage for the unopposed election of BJP’s three candidates Sandeep Joshi, Sanjay Kenekar, and Dadarao Keche along with NCP’s Sanjay Khodke and Shiv Sena’s Chandrakant Raghuvanshi to the Upper House of the state legislature.

5. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated a two-day orientation program for the newly elected members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

6. The Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is planning to introduce a stricter anti-conversion law to curb illegal religious conversions in the state. Although the state already has the Chhattisgarh Freedom of Religion Act, 1968, Home Minister Vijay Sharma announced that a new law will be introduced to prevent conversions through alleged 𝚌𝚘𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚒𝚘𝚗.

7. Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, inaugurated the national-level workshop on the National Adaptation Plan on Climate Change. The workshop focused on engaging with stakeholders in identifying sectoral adaptation priorities and understanding regional vulnerabilities across various key sectors.

8. The Union government advised states to cut down cooking oil use by 10% in mid-day meals in government and aided schools. This is part of the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM-POSHAN) scheme to encourage healthier eating habits in students.

9. In Punjab, Harjinder Singh Dhami, who had resigned as SGPC president on February 17, agreed to resume his duties after former president of SAD Sukhbir Singh Badal and party working president Balwinder Singh Bhunder met him.

10. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions at isolated places over north interior Odisha.

1. Nagpur clashes: 50 arrested, 5 FIRs registered : Violence broke out in Nagpur over demands to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb, leading to arson, vandalism, and injuries to police officers. CM Devendra Fadnavis condemned any glorification of Aurangzeb and urged calm, while right-wing groups staged protests.

2. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap Yadav in connection with the land-for-jobs money laundering case at the Patna Regional Office.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also summoned RJD president and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for questioning.

3. The Delhi High Court today refused to stay the trial court proceedings against Delhi Law Minister Kapil Mishra, who is accused of making objectionable statements and violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during the 2020 assembly elections.

4. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has issued a second summons to stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina, directing him to appear to record his statement in connection with India’s Got Latent row.

Currently abroad, Raina had initially requested permission to provide his statement via video conferencing from the United States.

5. In Manipur, a curfew has been imposed in Churachandpur district after a protest march turned into clashes between two communities.

6. Recently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in India partnered with WhatsApp to combat online scams and spam through the
