9. The Kerala government has imposed restrictions at containment zones in Malappuram where a 24-year-old recently died due to Nipah infection. The district authorities have asked shops in the containment zones to close by 7 PM. Cinema halls, schools, colleges, Madrassas, anganwadis and tution centres will remain shut in the containment zones.

The Government has authorised the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to perform Aadhaar authentication on voluntary basis for establishing the identity of candidates during the various stages of examination. In a gazette notification, the Ministry of Personnel has asked SSC to adhere to all the relevant provisions of the Act, rules and regulations made by the Unique Identification Authority of India.

1. India and US army personnel on Monday trained together to bolster interoperability and enhance synergy between forces of both nations in the 20th edition of the Joint Military Exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2024.’Notably, army personnel have been training together at the Foreign Training Node, Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan, since September 9 and will continue till 22 September.
India-US army personnel engaged in joint military exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2024’ took a break on Sunday, the soldiers visited the historic Junagarh Fort in Bikaner. Around 600 soldiers from the US have arrived in India, and they were brought to Junagarh in groups by bus and taken on a guided tour of the fort.
