DEFENCE

1. Construction firm ITD Cementation announced that it has bagged an order for construction of Indian Army’s new headquarter building at Delhi cantonment in the national capital.

The project is worth around Rs 833 crore and will be carried out on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.

2. The Indian Army has announced modification to the recruitment procedure for Junior Commissioned Officer, Other Ranks and Aginveers. As per the modified procedure, Computer based Online Common Entrance Exam will be conducted.

The Online Common Entrance Exam is planned to be conducted at approximately 175 to 180 examination centers all over the country between 17th and 30th April.

3. The induction of TEJAS MK-1A in the Indian Air Force (IAF) will begin from the next year, said the IAF chief, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari
