1. Jammu and Kashmir police in a joint operation with the security forces busted a terrorist and nabbed two terrorist associates linked to the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla.

2. National Security Guard (NSG), who are providing security to former Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, submitted a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on his arrest. He was produced in the ACB Special Court, Vijayawada, which remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days, and was shifted to Rajahmundry Central Prison.

3. Income Tax department suspected a tax evasion of more than Rs 800 crore by senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan after it conducted raids on him and people associated with him for three days.

A day after a private jet veered off the runway while landing at the Mumbai airport on Thursday, all the eight people onboard the jet were reported to be stable, except 21-year-old co-pilot Neil Diwan. 1. INDIA’S OVERALL EXPORTS ESTIMATED TO BE 60.87 BILLION DOLLARS FOR AUGUST 2023 : India’s overall exports are estimated to be 60.87 Billion dollars for the last month. The country’s Engineering Goods exports have recorded a growth of 7.73 percent during the period as compared to the same month last year. It now stands at 9.05 billion dollars.

1. Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande on Thursday invited Bangladesh Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed to attend the Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs’ Conclave (IPAC) to be held in Delhi, from September 25-27. 30 countries are expected to participate in 13th edition of a bi-annual conference.

2. Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Defence Acquisition Council approves nine capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 45,000 crore. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh.

3. BHARAT FORGE, has successfully delivered six cutting-edge 155-millimeter Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) artillery guns to 🇦🇲Armenia. This achievement underscores India’s prowess in defence technology and its growing role in the global arms trade.

4. Indian Naval Ship ‘Nireekshak’ arrived at the port of Trincomalee to facilitate Mixed Gas Diving training for the Sri Lanka Navy.

5. The 38 wing of Indian Air Force (IAF) at Bakshi Ka Talab in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow will soon undergo a major expansion to deal with large multiple air operations. The IAF base will be turned into a full-fledged facility to handle fighter jets and cargo.

6. The Central government approved the procurement of 12 Su-30MKIs for the Indian Air Force (IAF), which would be manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The aircraft would include more than 60 per cent indigenous content as per the requirement.

7. The Indian Air Force has successfully tested the Type V Heavy Drop System and declared it a major success under ‘Make in India’.

The Type V Heavy Drop System would help with the transportation and dropping of arms, equipment and ammunition, weighing up to 20 tons, with the help of a parachute.

8. Drones have been pressed into service to pinpoint the location of the terrorists who have taken positions in the forest area on a hilly terrain in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said as the operation to flush out the ultras entered the third day on Friday.

The terrorists killed four security personnel on Wednesday.

(a) Anantnag Encounter: Last Rites Of Major Ashish Dhonchak Performed With State Honours in Panipat. He was martyred in a terrorist encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

(b) Col. Manpreet, who was commanding the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Rashtriya Rifles, was also martyred in the gunfight in Anantnag district. The mortal remains of Col. Manpreet Singh was brought to Mohali in Punjab.

(C) Deputy Superintendent Humayun Bhat, a Jammu and Kashmir Police officer who recently got married, was among the three Army personnel killed in a gunfight with terrorists in Anantnag. The attack was claimed by the banned Resistance Front.
