14. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has introduced a localized weather forecasting system for the Sabarimala pilgrimage, Keral similar to those used for the Amarnath and Char Dham yatras. 2. Students called off their five-day stir on Friday, a day after the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) agreed to their demand that the Provincial Civil Services Preliminary (PSC) examination should be held on a single day.

1. The Bombay High Court on Wednesday dismissed a seeking a stay on release of the movie Matchfixing- The Nation is at Stake, a film inspired by the 2008 Malegaon blast case.
The film’s portrayal of the blast and the events that ensued was challenged by Lt. Colonel Prasad Purohit, one of the accused in the case, who argued that it could harm his reputation and career.
Another petition filed by Nadim Khan, who claimed the film hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims, was withdrawn after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) represented by advocate Deepak Shukla confirmed that certain objectionable parts had already been removed during certification.

1. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to revive its Nashik facility to resume production of the Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets. This decision follows a significant contract valued at $1.3 billion, approved in September 2023, which mandates the manufacture of 12 new aircraft.
2. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has confirmed its readiness to induct 66 more units of the HAL Prachand Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) as part of a larger order for 156 helicopters. This announcement comes from the IAF Chief, who expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Prachand in various operational scenarios.
3. India’s highest airfield, the Mudh-Nyoma airfield, is nearing completion as part of Project Himank, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing military infrastructure in the region. Located at an altitude of 13,700 feet in eastern Ladakh, this airfield is strategically positioned just 35 kilometers from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
