The Prime Minister’s Office said an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PM’s national relief fund would be given to next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 to injured.

4. A Bengaluru Court recently dismissed a complaint alleging that former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy in his election affidavit did not disclose any information about his “second wife” and children in election affidavit submitted by him before the 2018 assembly elections.

1. 38 people were killed and 20 injured when a bus carrying passengers skidded off the road and rolled down into a 300-foot gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Wednesday. The bus was reportedly carrying 56 passengers.

2. Three coaches of the New Delhi-Darbhanga Special Express were damaged after a fire broke out in the train near Etawah in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening. The cause of the fire, which broke out around 5:30 pm, was not known immediately.

3. A heavy drilling machine was airlifted from Delhi Wednesday to replace the “failed” equipment which was being used earlier to create a passage for 40 workers trapped in an under-construction tunnel in Uttarakhand that collapsed three days back. According to reports all workers are safe.

1. India’s wholesale inflation persisted in negative territory for seventh consecutive month, in October. According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the wholesale price index (WPI) recorded a 0.52 percent decline in October compared to the same period last year.

1. Team Animal has begun promotions for their film ahead of the trailer release. Three songs, ‘Hua Main’, ‘Satranga’ and ‘Papa Meri Jaan’, have been unveiled till now. Now, Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga reached the sets of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s show Unstoppable with NBK to promote the movie.

The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is in the crime drama genre and is set to release on December 1, 2023.

2. Kalki 2898 AD which has been garnering ample attention not only for its star cast but also for its subject, is touted one of the biggest releases next year. 1. India’s indigenously designed and developed light tank, tentatively named Zorawar, is likely to be ready for trials by the end of this month.

The tank, designed for operations in high-altitude regions, primarily on the border with China in response to its armoured deployments.

2. The Indian and US Militaries are teaming up to build export variants of the US-made Stryker Infantry Carrier to advance the two countries growing defence cooperation and reinforce a mutual interest in deterring potential Chinese aggression along its Western border with India.

7. Indian Navy has been keeping a close watch on the movement of Chinese warships and a submarine which are participating in a mega naval exercise with Pakistan.

The fragile security situation in the South China Sea, in addition to violations of established codes of conduct, poses a clear danger to “good order” and “discipline” at sea, Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said on Wednesday.
