1. The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday dismissed a government school teacher in Kulgam district for his alleged involvement in anti-national activities. Manzoor Ahmed Laway, a resident of Manzgam in the Damhal Hanjipora area of the south Kashmir district, was dismissed under Article 311 of the Constitution.
He is accused of instigating a mob on 9 July 2016 — a day after Hizbul Mujahideen militant commander Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter — to cause damage and destruction to government property.
2. Enforcement Directorate on Friday arrested Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha after a daylong raid at her premises in Hyderabad and was taking her to Delhi for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.
3. Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa has been booked under the POCSO Act based on a complaint by the mother of a 17-year-old girl, police said here on Friday. The complainant alleged that Yediyurappa sexually assaulted her daughter during a meeting on 02 February.
4. The Supreme Court on Friday pulled up the State Bank of India over non-disclosure of the numbers unique to each electoral bond that would help in matching donors with the recipient political party, saying it was “duty bound” to reveal them.
5. At least 14 out of the top 30 companies which purchased electoral bonds from 12 April 2019 to 24 January 2024 faced action by central or state probe agencies, revealed data from the State Bank of India released by the Election Commission (EC).

1. As the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) deadline to put certain business restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) ends on Friday.
Whose having a savings bank or current account with Paytm Payments Bank will be not able to deposit money into their account. However, one can continue to use, withdraw or transfer funds from their account up to the available balance in your account. Also, refunds, cashbacks, sweep-in from partner banks or interest are permitted and credits into the account even after 15 March, 2024.
2. The Indian government made a landmark announcement on March 15, approving a comprehensive scheme aimed at positioning India as a global hub for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing. This policy, designed by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, seeks to entice significant investments from renowned global EV manufacturers into the Indian market.

1. Indian Navy has a dedicated headquarters of its own. The newly constructed Nausena Bhawan located at Delhi Cantonment was formally inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 15 March.

10. Admiral Laxminarayan Ramdas, the former Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy (1990-1993), breathed his last peacefully at the age of 90 on March 15 morning, at the Military Hospital, Secunderabad, Telangana.
