1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in Bharat Tex 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. Bharat Tex 2025, a mega global event, is being held from 14th to 17th February at Bharat Mandapam.

3. The 3rd edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam yesterday inaugurated at Namo Ghat, Varanasi. This 10-day event highlights the significant contributions of Sage Agasthyar to the Siddha System of Medicine (Bharatiya Chikitsa), classical Tamil literature, and also his contributions to the cultural unity of the nation. In Jammu and Kashmir, the government has extended the term of the Local Bodies Dedicated Backward Classes Commission, headed by Justice (retired) Janak Raj Kotwal, which was constituted last year to work out reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies, up to February 28.
5. The fish production in the country has doubled in the last ten years. According to the Ministry of Fisheries, fish production has increased from 95 lakh tons in 2013-14 to over 184 lakh tonnes in 2023-24.

Apoorva Mukhija aka ‘The Rebel Kid’ appeared in the controversial episode of comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent.
2. On Valentine’s Day, alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar penned a ‘love letter’ to actor Jacqueline Fernandez from inside the Mandoli Jail. This time, Sukesh has sent Jacqueline a gift to proclaim his love for her. He has gifted her a customised Gulfstream Jet.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar was arrested in connection with a multi-crore fraud case in 2015. He has been lodged in jail ever since. During the investigation into his alleged crimes by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Jacqueline Fernandez’s name came up. The conman claims he is dating the actor.

1. Lieutenant Commander Dilna K and Lieutenant Commander Rupa A of the Indian Navy have achieved a historic milestone by sailing INSV Tarini past Cape Horn, the southernmost tip of South America, during the third phase of the ‘Sagar Parikrama II’ expedition.
2. India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) showcased its new Virupaksha radar at Aero India 2025, marking a significant advancement in radar technology for the Indian Air Force’s Su-30MKI upgrade program. This radar is an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) system designed to replace the older Russian-made N011 Bars radar currently in use.
3. The Ministry of Defence has taken steps to enhance India’s defence capabilities and self-reliance through multiple agreements. These include contracts for the procurement of BrahMos missiles and transfer of technology for critical components.
The Ministry of Defence has signed contracts with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) for the procurement of BrahMos missiles and ship-borne BrahMos systems.
4. Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a metallurgical company under the Ministry of Defence, participated in Aero India 2025, which took place in Bangalore from February 10-14, 2025.
MIDHANI presented its advanced materials and innovations for India’s aerospace, defence, and space sectors. They unveiled three indigenously developed aerospace materials: High-Temperature Nickel Alloy Billets, Alloy S152 Forged Bars, and Superni 41 Plates.
