1. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways plans to develop 22 Greenfield Expressways, 23 key infrastructure projects, and 35 Multi-Modal Logistics Parks as part of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
Gati Shakti is a digital platform that brings 16 Ministries, including railways and roadways together, for integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects for industrial clusters and economic nodes. Some of the major Expressways and Corridors which are under construction stage include Delhi – Mumbai Expressway, Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, and Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway.
2. A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court permitted the CBI to question dismissed cop Sachin Waze in jail in connection with a corruption case it is probing against former home minister Anil Deshmukh.
3. PM Modi will visit Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Temple in Karol Bagh, Delhi today on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti. Guru Ravidas Jayanti is marked to celebrate the birth of Guru Ravidas, a Bhakti movement saint during the 15th to 16th century. Guru Ravidas is said to have written several hymns and some of them were embraced by Sikhism’s holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib.

5. BIHAR : A Special CBI court convicts RJD chief Lalu Prasad in final case of fodder scam; quantum of punishment to be announced on 21st Feb.
Lalu Yadav has been convicted in four out of five cases related to the multi-crore fodder scam. This scam happened when Lalu Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar before the formation of Jharkhand.
6. MAHARASHTRA: govt decides to increase educational loan limit under educational loan scheme of Maulana Azad Minority Economic Development Corporation to 7.5 Lakh. The state govt has now increased the share capital of Maulana Azad Minority Economic Development Corporation to Rs 700 crore.
7. ODISHA : The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration in Odisha’s Puri has decided that devotees will not be required to carry a vaccination certificate to enter the shrine from February 21.

10.TAMIL NADU : One person has been killed and two others have been injured in an explosion at an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. The manufacturing unit, which is located at the Nalliveeranpatti village, is said to have been running without permission.
11.TRIPURA: Union Minister Sarbanand s Sonwal announces Rs 25 Cr for dredging in river Gomati for setting up altogether 10 jetties for better inland waterways connectivity.

12.India’s overall exports in January this year are estimated to be 61.41 billion dollars, exhibiting a positive growth of 36.76% over the same period last year and a positive growth of 38.90% over Jan 2020. Overall imports in Jan this year are estimated to be 67.76 billion dollars, exhibiting a slower rate of growth of 30.54% over the same period last year and a positive growth of 30.19% over Jan 2020.

13. Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, accused in 2021 Red Fort violence, dies in road accident near Sonipat in Haryana on 15 Feb. As per the police, a female friend who was with Sidhu has sustained injuries. Sidhu was earlier named as an accused in the Red Fort violence that took place last year during a tractor rally led by protesting farmers against the Centre’s agricultural laws.
Punjabi actor and activist Deep Sidhu died after the car he was travelling in hit a stationary truck on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near the Pipli toll in Haryana, police said.
14. Veteran singer Sandhya Mukherjee passes away aged 90 after cardiac arrest on 15 Feb. She was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata with critical health issues.

17. The security forces on 14 Feb recovered a cache of arms and ammunition near the LoC in the Mendhar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. The recovery included an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, two pistols and two pistol magazines. An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Arms Act at the Mendhar police station.

Army Chief General MM Naravane on Tuesday held extensive talks with Commander of Royal Saudi Land Forces Lt Gen Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair with a focus on expanding bilateral defence and military ties. Lt Gen Al-Mutair was also accorded a guard of honour at the South Block lawns before the talks.
