1. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu will embark on a seven-day visit to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana today.
In Karnataka, the President will inaugurate the 1066th Jayanthi celebrations of Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji at Malavalli.
In Tamil Nadu, the president will perform darshan and aarti at the Golden Temple, Vellore. Later, she will reach Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum, Secunderabad.

1. India is becoming the fastest-growing major economy, with an 8.2 % growth rate as against the 3.2% of the global growth, says Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha during her reply to the Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025-26.
2. India’s merchandise trade deficit narrowed to 24.53 billion US dollars in November this year, driven by a fall in gold, oil and coal imports. According to provisional data released by the Commerce Ministry, merchandise exports increased significantly to 38.13 billion dollars in November. Goods imports fell slightly by 1.9 per cent at 62.66 billion dollars.

Established in 2017, Exercise Ekatha is an annual bilateral maritime exercise between the Indian Navy and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
