1. The President Smt. Droupadi Murmu appointed new Governors in Haryana and Goa and a new Lieutenant Governor in Ladakh.

Former Civil Aviation Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been appointed as Governor of Goa while Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh will be the Governor of Haryana. Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

2. Indian Astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla and three other crew members of the Axiom-4 mission began their return journey to Earth with the undocking of their spacecraft from International Space Station (ISS).

3. Gaganyatri Shubhanshu Shukla has successfully completed all seven microgravity experiments and other planned activities, achieving significant milestone in the mission. Experiments on Indian strain of Tardigrades, Myogenesis, Sprouting of Methi & Moong seeds, Cyanobacteria, Microalgae, Crop seeds and Voyoger Display have been completed as planned.

4. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said, the government will issue new guidelines to promote first-time exporters and new markets under One District One Product (ODOP). The Minister said this while addressing the National One District One Product 2024 Award ceremony in New Delhi.

5. The Election Commission has said that in Bihar, under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), so far over six crore 60 lakh enumeration forms have been collected which is over 83 per cent of the total enumeration forms.

6. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the government has set a vision to become a developed nation by the year 2047. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people to take pride in the country’s rich heritage and build a sense of duty. 1. Punjab Cabinet has approved the Punjab Prevention of Offences Against Holy Scripture(s) Bill, 2025. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by the Chief Minister. 1. India’s Wholesale Price Index, WPI inflation, dropped to minus point one three per cent in June 2025, compared to the same period last year. The dip is primarily due to a decrease in prices of food articles, mineral oils, manufacture of basic metals, crude petroleum and natural gas.

2. Crude oil prices rose over one percent yesterday as investors continued to keep watch for US sanctions on Russia that may affect global supplies.

Brent Crude was trading 1.36 per cent higher at 71 dollars and 32 cents per barrel, while WTI Crude was also up 1.49 per cent at 69 dollars and 47 cents per barrel.

1. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved the transfer of 6.85 lakh square meters of land the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to ease traffic congestion in Secunderabad, Telangana. The land will be used for constructing elevated corridors along State Highway-1 (SH-1) and National Highway-44 (NH-44).

2. India’s recent drone strikes on insurgent camps in Myanmar represent a significant escalation in New Delhi’s regional security posture and a direct challenge to China’s covert influence strategy in Southeast Asia.

These precision operations, reportedly involving over 100 drones, targeted key bases of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) in Myanmar’s Naga Self-Administered Zone, close to the India-Myanmar border.

3. Kanpur-based MKU Limited has achieved a major milestone by securing a multi-year contract to supply over 200,000 advanced ballistic helmets to an undisclosed Southeast Asian country, marking one of the largest such deals in the region’s defence sector.

4. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has openly accepted responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred in April 2025, describing it as a significant security failure and a grave lapse that resulted in the deaths of several innocent civilians.
