1. Centre expects record production of foodgrains in 2022-23. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare released on Tuesday the second advance estimate of the production of major crops. The Centre expects a record foodgrain production of 3235.54 Lakh Tonnes in 2022-24 of rice, wheat, and maize also of pulses such as gram, moong and winter crop mustard and sugarcane.

1. Air India to purchase 250 Airbus aircraft from France: Air India has agreed to buy 250 jets from Airbus, part of a mammoth deal for 470 planes that is also expected to include 220 Boeing jets, as the airline heralds a decades-long transformation under its new owners, TATA Group.
2. HAL has delivered 22 LM2500 gas turbines for 11 Indian naval vessels. GE Marine and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on Tuesday said that have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the expansion of HAL’s manufacturing capabilities to include assembly, inspection and testing (AIT) of the LM500 marine gas turbine.
