Hindi Diwas 2023

1. Hindi Diwas, celebrated annually on the 14th of September, holds a special place in India’s cultural and linguistic calendar. Officially, the first Hindi Day was celebrated on September 14, 1953.

On this day in 1949, the Hindi language was adopted as one of the official languages of the Republic of India. Written in the Devanagari script, the Constitution of India accepted Hindi language as the official language of India on 14 September 1949.

2. The 3rd All India Official Language Conference will be held on the 14th and the 15th of September in Pune. Secretary of the Department of Official Languages of the Ministry of Home Affairs Anshuli Arya informed.

3. The Ministry of Jal Shakti’s Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation is organizing the International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS) from September 14th to 15th, 2023, in Jaipur. The conference will be inaugurated by the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, under the theme “Safe & Secure Dams Ensure Nation’s Prosperity.”

4. A five-day-long Special Parliament Session will be held from the 18th of this month.

5. The Government has approved the e-Courts Mission Mode Project Phase -3 as a Central Sector Scheme spanning four years with a financial outlay of seven thousand 210 crore rupees.

8. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday (13 September 2023) passed a resolution on behalf of the entire country congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful organisation of the G20 Summit and making this global event a huge success.

9. Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to interfere with the Delhi government’s order putting a comprehensive ban on manufacturing, storage, sale and bursting of firecrackers in the city, saying people’s health is important.

10. Parliament special session to approve bill on the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner. The government on Wednesday listed a special discussion on Parliament’s journey of 75 years starting from the Samvidhan Sabha on the first day of the five-day session of Parliament beginning September 18.

11. The 4th G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group Meeting began on Wednesday (13 September 2023) at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to finalise the 2023 G20 Sustainable Finance Report.

12. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to embark on Special Campaign 3.0 from October 2nd to October 31st, 2023, with preparatory activities commencing on September 15th, 2023.

13. Opposition I. N. D. I. A (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) bloc on Wednesday decided to hold their first joint public meeting in Bhopal in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh in the first week of October, and said the constituent parties will start seat-sharing talks at the earliest.

14. The iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform has introduced a new learning module dedicated to the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) in collaboration with NITI Aayog. The module comprises ten courses tailored to the specific needs of Block officials, covering topics such as time management, communication, leadership, sustainable development goals, and stress management.

15. The Delhi government is set to unveil its EV Policy 2.0, which will prioritize electric vehicle (EV) retro-fitment as a key strategy for promoting clean energy and extending the lifespan of existing vehicles.

17. DELHI Metro Rail Corporation and Bharat Electronics Limited on Wednesday (13 September 2023) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop an indigenous Communication Based Train Control system.

18. ANDHRA PRADESH CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday reviewed the Jaganana Aarogya Suraksha programme and directed the officials to implement the programme from September 30. The fifth phase would involve hand-holding of the chronic patients by family doctors and village clinics to ensure periodic treatment to the needy.

19. KARNATAKA cabinet sub-committee on disaster management has concluded that as many as 195 taluks in the state are drought-hit, revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda said on Wednesday.

20. The UTTAR PRADESH CM Yogi Adityanath, has introduced the Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana under the Nand Baba Mission to enhance cattle breeds and boost milk production in the state. The scheme aims to improve cow breeds.

21. WEST BENGAL CM Mamata Banerjee aims to draw investments from the manufacturing industry in Spain even as she left for an 11-day foreign tour to Spain and Dubai to draw investments for Bengal.

22. Former Press Trust of India (PTI) journalist Walter Alfred, who covered many landmark events in the last century, passed away at the age of 103. The veteran journalist breathed his last at his residence near Mumbai.

1. Senior Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee was on Wednesday questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for a marathon nine hours in connection with the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam.

2. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Bihar Janata Dal-United (JDU) MLC Radha Charan Shah after a day-long raid at his residence at Ara in Bhojpur district. Shah was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)

3. Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday held a hearing on the quash petition relating to the FIR filed by the AP CID against TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the AP skill development scam. It adjourned the case for the next hearing to September 19.

1. Nitin Gadkari
Road, Transport, and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the size of the Automobile Industry has increased from 4.5 lakh crore rupees to 12.5 lakh crore rupees in the last nine years.

1. Indian Air Force
India on Wednesday (13 September 2023) received the first C-295 MW transport aircraft.

India’s first C-295 transport aircraft took off from Seville airfield in Spain with Indian Air Force chief Marshal VR Chaudhari onboard on Wednesday.

2. The Indian Air Force recently successfully tested the “Type V Heavy Drop System” from a cargo aircraft. With the help of this system, arms/equipment /ammunition weighing up to 20 ton can be easily transported and dropped with the help of parachute in the battlefield or at inaccessible places including high altitudes.

3. Bangladesh’s Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan was accorded a guard of honour at South Block on Wednesday. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar received his Bangladesh counterpart Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan at the South Block.

4. China’s arms exports have declined due to poor quality, and weak and inconsistent performance, which puts buyer countries in peril. In the last decade, China’s weaponry exports have dropped by nearly a quarter, according to a report by the Directus.

5. Three security force officers were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in Kokernag area of Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The operation against the terrorists began on Tuesday evening in Gadole area but was called off during the night. Yesterday morning, the hunt for the terrorists resumed after information started trickling that they were spotted at a hideout.

6. Pakistan is making full efforts to infiltrate foreign terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir to hinder the progress being made in internal security conditions in the region, Northern Army commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi said.

7. An Army dog was killed on Tuesday while trying to save its handler during an ongoing encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. A six-year-old female Labrador from 21 Army Dog Unit lost its life in the encounter while saving its handler.
