1. Calcutta High Court disqualifies political leader Mukul Roy from West Bengal Legislative Assembly under the Anti-defection law.
2. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that all those responsible for the Delhi car blast incident will be given strict punishment. He said that the punishment for the culprits of the incident will send a message to the world that no terrorist should even dare to think of committing such an act in India.
3. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has said that Lal Quila Metro Station will remain closed till further notice due to security reasons.
The Lal Quila Metro Station was closed after the blast in a car near Red Fort in Delhi on Monday.
4. The Supreme Court has directed the governments of Punjab and Haryana to file a status report on the measures taken to curb stubble burning, which contributes to the air pollution crisis in the Delhi-NCR region.
5. Association of Indian Universities suspends Al-Falah University membership citing lack of good standing.
Earlier, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council also issued a show-cause notice to Al-Falah University in Faridabad for displaying false accreditation on its website. The Notice stated that the Al-Falah University is neither accredited nor volunteered for Cycle-one for Assessment and Accreditation.

The Calcutta High Court on Thursday (November 13, 2025) disqualified senior political leader Mukul Roy from membership of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly following his defection to the Trinamool Congress after winning the Assembly polls on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket over four years ago.

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang was admitted to hospital on Thursday, after he experienced nose bleeding and high blood pressure while attending a programme at Rangpo Ground. The incident occurred during the finals of a musical competition, where the CM was present. He was rushed to a hospital in Gangtok from the venue for medical attention.

1. The 31 st Kolkata International Film Festival is concluded yesterday. The festival was inaugurated on the 6th of November.
Film Festival featured 215 films from 39 countries, with Poland as the focus country and special tributes to Palestine and filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak. The festival opened with the screening of Saptapadi and honoured Shatrughan Sinha and Arati Mukherjee with the Banga Bibhushan award.
2. The Taj Story performed well on its first 12 days at the box office and earned an estimated ₹ 16.80 Cr India net.
3. Singer Armaan Malik, who was scheduled to perform in Delhi on November 15, has now postponed the concert. Organisers took the decision in the wake of the fatal blast in Delhi.
4. Veteran Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna Withdraws Defamation Case Against Telangana Congress Minister Konda Surekha after her Public Apology. Minister Surekha was being withdrawn under Section 280 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

1. Defence Ministry inks agreement with Bharat Dynamics Limited to procure INVAR Anti-Tank Missiles to enhance firepower of T-90 tanks.
2. Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, has proceeded on an official visit to the United States from 12 to 17 Nov 2025. The visit aims to further strengthen the robust and enduring maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the United States Navy, a key pillar of the India–US Defence Partnership.
3. Top commanders of the Army, Navy, and Air Force reviewed a joint multi-domain operation aboard INS Vikrant as part of the mega Exercise Trishul. The exercise, spanning from the Thar desert to the Kutch region, culminates in an amphibious landing, showcasing integrated land-sea-air power projection and commitment to jointness, self-reliance, and innovation.
4. Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational readiness of Sudarshan Chakra Corps and Shahbaaz Division during Exercise MaruJwala, being conducted in the expansive Thar Desert under the Tri-Service framework of Exercise Trishul.

The Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) said the Indian Army is closely observing the ongoing war in Ukraine, calling it a “living lab” that offers crucial insights into modern warfare — lessons that resonate with the operational conditions along India’s borders.
6. The Indian Army conducted Exercise Akhand Prahar in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, demonstrating its multi-domain warfare capabilities. The exercise validated the newly formed RUDRA Brigade and tested next-generation battlefield technologies, including drones and counter-drone systems, in coordination with the Indian Air Force.
7. The Eleventh edition of Joint Military Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025 between India and Sri Lanka is underway at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi, Karnataka. The exercise began on Monday and will conclude on the 23rd of this month.
8. The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave go ahead to the Naval Headquarters to commence its Rs 450 crore strategic project ‘Nausena Bhawan, Maritime Operation Centre and Communication Centre’ in Delhi Cantonment area after Central Empowered Committee (CEC) cleared it saying even though the land is in Morphological Ridge area, it has no trees.
