1. The Ministry of Agriculture unveiled India’s first Covid-19 vaccine “Anocovax” for animals.

2. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has launched “Start-Ups for Railways” in New Delhi . This Start-Ups policy aims to leverage innovative technologies developed by Indian Startups, MSMEs, Innovators and Entrepreneurs to improve the operational efficiency and safety of Indian Railways.

3. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has informed that the project for the construction of New Link National Highway 133B and 131A is in full swing.

4. National Highway-133B project spanning over 21 kilometer, is a one-of-its-kind project involving the construction of a six-kilometer-long Ganga Bridge. It is the world’s third-longest extradosed bridge.

5. PM Modi will pay a one-day visit to Maharashtra today. He will inaugurate Jagatguru Sreesanth Tukaram Maharaj Shila Mandir at Dehu near Pune at around 1.45 PM.

13. *KERALA* : The Suraksha-Mitra project has become operational in the State of Kerala.

Suraksha-Mitra Project is a vehicle monitoring system. It sends distress messages in case of any accident. Motor Vehicle Department has launched this project under Nirbhaya Scheme. This system will send a distress message to owners’ mobile phones, if there are any untoward incidents while travelling.

14. *UTTAR PRADESH* : Muslim organisation Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on Monday moved the Supreme Court (SC), seeking directions to the Uttar Pradesh government so that no further demolitions are carried out in the state without following due process. This comes after buildings of those accused of violence during recent protests over remarks on Prophet Muhammad were recently demolished in Kanpur.

1. Retail inflation based on Consumer Price Index eased to 7.04 per cent in May from 7.79 per cent in April this year.

2. Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry asks E-commerce food business operators to transparently show the breakup of all charges included in the order amount such as delivery charges, packaging charges, taxes and surge pricing.

3. Nearly ₹1.7 lakh crore has been wiped out of the market capitalisation of state-run Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) since its stock market debut on May 17. Shares of LIC recorded a new low of ₹668.20 on the BSE on 12 Jun, having declined 30% since its listing. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹4.22 lakh crore at Monday’s close.

1. Vadodara unit of ABVP submitted a memorandum to the District Collector on Monday, seeking the cancellation of comedian Vir Das’ stand-up show in Vadodara, which is scheduled to be held on June 17. ABVP, in their memorandum, said that Das has been “publicly insulting India” and making “distasteful jokes about women”, which is why he shouldn’t be allowed to perform.
