7. Bikaner Camel Festival 2023 The festival starts with a procession of camel festival adorned beautifully in traditional necklaces and anklets, Camel Fair Bikaner and vibrantly colored bridles. This colorful parade starts from the magnificent Junagarh Fort and ends at the Dr. Karni Singh Stadium.

Bikaner Camel Festival Life couldn’t have been possible in the harsh desert of Thar if it wasn’t for the Camel. This hardy animal helps the locals survive in the desert and to celebrate this “ship of the desert”, Bikaner plays host to the Camel Festival every year. The Festival is a two-day affair the dates for Bikaner Camel Festival this year were the 13th and 15th January.

5. The National Commission for Women has taken cognisance of the matter in which a woman commissioner from Rajasthan accused IAS officer Pawan Arora of running a sex racket and has written to Rajasthan DGP to look into the matter.

6. The Supreme Court (SC) will examine National Commission for Protection of Child Rights’ plea, challenging Punjab and Haryana HC’s order on permitting Muslim girls to marry if they’re aged 15 or above. The HC said girls can marry as per provisions of personal law.

4. GRSE-made passenger-cum-cargo ocean-going ferry ‘MV MA Lisha’, the first such ship built for exports to a Latin American country by any Indian Defence PSU, was flagged off on Thursday from its facility on the banks of the Hooghly river.
