1. Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi will interact with his booth-level party workers of Bihar on the 15th of this month. In a social media post, Mr Modi requested the party workers to join the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot campaign and share their suggestions.

2. India’s largest school hackathon, ‘Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025′, will be held today between 10 AM and 11 PM. The Viksit Bharat Buildathon is a nationwide initiative inviting schools and teachers to empower students from classes 6 to 12 to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.
BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde informed that the BJP and JDU will contest on 101 seats each, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on 29 seats, the Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Hindustani Awam Morcha on 6-6 seats each.

3. The National Democratic Alliance-NDA has announced seat sharing for the Bihar Elections.

4. The notification for the second phase of the Assembly elections in Bihar will be issued today. With this, the nomination process for 122 assembly constituencies across 20 districts will begin. The last date for filing nominations for the second phase is 20th October.

5. Chief Justice of India Justice Bhushan Gavai inaugurated the new Civil and Criminal Court building in Mandangad Taluka of Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.

6. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Jaipur today on a day-long visit to Rajasthan. During his visit, he will inaugurate the state-level exhibition being organised to mark the completion of one year of implementation of the new criminal laws – the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. The six-day exhibition, being held from 13th to 18th October in Jaipur, will highlight the major provisions of the new laws and showcase the progress made in their implementation across Rajasthan.

7. PM Modi has congratulated Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for completing 15 years as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

8. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya lauded the efforts of ISKCON for starting a drug-free initiative across the country.

9. The BJP on Sunday named three candidates, including its Jammu and Kashmir unit president Sat Pal Sharma, for the elections to four Rajya Sabha seats in the Union Territory scheduled for October 24. Two other candidates are Ghulam Mohammed Mir and Rakesh Mahajan.

10. A Central team comprising officials from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Wildlife Institute of India visited areas surrounding the hill shrine of Sabarimala to assess the proposed ropeway project.

1. The National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar seeks report from West Bengal police on Durgapur medical student gangrape case within 5 days. The second-year MBBS student was allegedly gang-raped near the college premises on Friday evening.

2. Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi called another press conference in New Delhi on Sunday, inviting women journalists this time, after facing backlash for their exclusion from his earlier media interaction.

Muttaqi, who is in India on a week-long visit, came under fire after his previous press interaction featured no women journalists. Photographs from the October 10 event showed a men-only press briefing addressed by the visiting Taliban leader, triggering condemnation from journalists, opposition leaders, and women’s rights advocates.

3. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) participated in the Delhi Half Marathon to raise awareness among youth against drug abuse held in National Capital.

4. Supreme Court judge BV Nagarathna on Saturday (October 11, 2025) expressed concern about the deteriorating sex ratios due to potential female infanticide and foeticide in certain States, stating that girls should not merely survive but thrive.

She was speaking at the national annual stakeholders consultation on “Safeguarding the Girl Child: Towards a Safer and Enabling Environment for Her in India,” organised by the Juvenile Justice Committee of the Supreme Court in collaboration with UNICEF India.

5. A 31-member committee, formed to ensure acceptance of demands of the family of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, who allegedly committed suicide, has given a 48-hour ultimatum to the Chandigarh administration and the Haryana government to remove state police chief Shatrujeet Kapur from his post.

1. The Indian Army will host the Conclave of Chiefs of United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) in New Delhi from the 14th of this month. The three-day conclave will bring together a total of 32 UN Troop Contributing Countries with attendance by 15 Chiefs, 17 Vice Chiefs and other high-ranking military officials from seven nations.

2. The fourth edition of India-Australia joint military Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025 will begin in Perth, Australia, today.

3. The Bangladesh Army has said that 15 officers have been taken into custody after the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrants against them for alleged involvement in enforced disappearances and crimes against humanity. Addressing a press conference at the Dhaka Cantonment, Major General Md. Hakimuzzaman said that among those detained, 14 are currently serving officers and one is on Leave Pending Retirement (LPR).
