1. The Parliament has passed the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2024.
2. Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar was discharged from AIIMS-Delhi on Wednesday (March 12, 2025) after making a satisfactory recovery. The 73-year-old leader was admitted to AIIMS in the early hours of Sunday, March 9, after experiencing uneasiness and chest pain.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday (March 12, 2025) announced recruitment to 26,000 posts in the State government next year and the initiation of a youth employment promotion scheme as well as a poverty-free village scheme to resolve the issues of unemployment and destitution.
7. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy handed over appointment letters to 1,292 Junior Lecturers and 240 Polytechnic Lecturers at a formal event in Hyderabad.
8. Several political parties in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (12 March 2025) called upon the Centre to reconsider banning Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s Awami Action Committee (AAC) and Masroor Ansari’s J&K Ittehadul Muslimeen (JKIM). However, the BJP has welcomed the move.

The Standing Committee of Parliament on Agriculture, headed by former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, has recommended a change in the name of the Union Agriculture Ministry to reflect the importance of farm workers, too. 1. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) visited Headquarters Southern Air Command on 12 Mar 25 for the Commanders’ Conference of Southern Air Command (SAC) in Thiruvananthapuram. Rafael Advanced Defence Systems Ltd of Israel and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) of India announced a significant collaboration at Aero India 2025, aimed at integrating the TROPHY Active Protection System (APS) into Indian combat vehicles. The TROPHY system is the world’s only operational and combat-proven APS, designed to protect armoured vehicles against anti-tank threats.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has accelerated efforts to finalise the procurement of 114 Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA), a deal estimated to be worth $20 billion.The initiative aligns with the “Buy Global Make in India” strategy, aiming to manufacture these jets domestically with global collaboration.
