1. 16th Rozgaar Mela: PM Modi distributes over 51 thousand appointment letters in various government departments at 16th Rozgar Mela; says, youth are now playing a major role in nation-building.

2. Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on announced that the Monsoon Session of Parliament will be held from 21 July to 12 August 2025.

3. The All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, is organising Shalyacon 2025, a three-day national seminar starting today, in celebration of the auspicious ‘Sushruta Jayanti’. Celebrated annually on 15th July, Sushruta Jayanti commemorates the legendary Acharya Sushruta, revered as the Father of Surgery.

4. The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) and UNICEF India launched TALASH, a new program to support the education and personal growth of tribal students. TALASH stands for Tribal Aptitude, Life Skills and Self-Esteem Hub. It is India’s first national program made just for tribal students. The program will benefit over 1.38 lakh students in EMRSs.

5. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, recently expanded the Sanchar Mitra Scheme into a nationwide movement. The scheme engages student volunteers as digital ambassadors to promote telecom awareness and digital literacy. This initiative aims to bridge the communication gap between citizens and the telecom ecosystem.

6. The National Board for Wildlife’s Standing Committee has granted in-principle approval for diverting 142 hectares of forest land in Karnataka’s Sharavathi Valley Lion-Tailed Macaque Wildlife Sanctuary. This decision is controversial due to potential ecological damage and the absence of final forest clearance. The sanctuary is a critical habitat for around 700 endangered lion-tailed macaques, a species with a declining global population of about 2,500 individuals.

7. The meeting of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry’s Special Committee for Interlinking of Rivers (SCILR), slated for July 15, is likely to witness one more attempt on the part of the Central authorities to persuade Andhra Pradesh and Telengana to arrive at a consensus on the Godavari (Inchampalli)-Cauvery (Grand Anicut) .

8. In Bihar, a meeting of the constituent parties of the opposition Grand Alliance regarding the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections was held at the residence of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav in Patna.

1. The Andhra Pradesh High Court recently held that the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) illegally nominated the investigating officer (IO) in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Tirupati laddu case.

2. Telangana BJP accepted Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh’s resignation after he opposed the party’s leadership choice in Telangana. The party will now ask the Speaker to disqualify him as MLA. Singh vowed to continue supporting Hindutva outside BJP.

3. Enforcement Directorate, Delhi Zonal Office has provisionally attached immovable properties valued at 762.47 crore rupees situated across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Australia in connection with an ongoing investigation.

4. The ED informed that the case pertains to large-scale fraudulent collective investment schemes by M/s. PACL that were structured to deceive and defraud investors.

5. A woman student of a college in Odisha’s Balasore district, had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against a teacher, on Saturday allegedly set herself on fire in the educational institute campus and sustained 90 per cent burn injury.

1. Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau preliminary report reveals, fuel to both engines was cut off leading to last month’s Ahmedabad plane crash that claimed 260 lives in Ahmedabad on the 12th of last month.

According to reports, both engine fuel control switches of the aircraft transitioned from ‘RUN’ to ‘CUTOFF’ position one after another with a time gap of 1 second and turned off, resulting in devastating air tragedy.

1. The Indian Army has launched Operation SHIVA 2025 to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, announced on Friday, involves heavy deployment of troops, modern surveillance tools, and disaster response measures.

2. The Indian Army is actively developing the 200 km range Pranash missile, which is eligible for export to Armenia, Greece, and Cyprus as it falls below the MTCR threshold.
