CRIME REPORT

1. Bureau of Indian Standards, BIS has conducted raids against 44 toy outlets across the country for selling their toys without valid BIS licenses.

2. The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit has exposed six YouTube channels that were working in a coordinated manner and spreading false information in the country.

The identified Youtube channels are Nation 24, Swarnim Bharat, Sarokar Bharat, Nation TV, Samvaad Samachar, and Samvaad TV. This is the second such action by the PIB Fact Check Unit.

3. Delhi Kanjhawala case: Ministry of home affairs directed the Delhi police on Thursday to suspend all the personnel posted at three PCR vans and two pickets on the night when a 20-year-old woman was killed in the national capital after her scooter was hit by a car and she was dragged by the vehicle for 10-12 kilometres.

1. Tesla has overtaken BMW to become US’ top luxury car brand in 2022, becoming the first US automaker to hold the title in 25 years, Automotive News Research & Data Center reported.

2. Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said that attrition is going down for the company in every quarter. Infosys reported a 2.8% QoQ fall in its attrition rate to 24.3% in the October-December 2022 quarter.

3. SEBI fined Sahara Group company Sahara Housing Investment Corporation, its Chairperson Subrata Roy and others ₹6.48 crore for flouting regulatory norms. In June, two Sahara Group firms and others were fined ₹12 crore for violating norms during the issuance of optionally fully convertible debentures during 2008-2009.
