1. The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday stood firm by its resolve to recommend the transfer of Manipur High Court judge, Justice MV Muralidharan, to the Calcutta High Court for “better administration of justice”.
2. National Investigation Agency NIA conducted raids across six states against the suspects linked to the banned outfit PFI in connection with Bihar’s Phulwari Sharif case. The searches were conducted at over a dozen locations in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi-NCR based on inputs against suspects.
3. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has carried out searches at the premises of news portal NewsClick in connection with the alleged violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, FCRA.
4. Andhra Pradesh High Court granted anticipatory bail to former CM and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case on Wednesday. The court heard the argument on the anticipatory bail petition filed by him granted temporary bail.
5. Manipur government on Wednesday extended the suspension of mobile data internet services for five days till October 16 evening.
6. Manipur government urged its citizens not to encroach upon the properties of those displaced by the violence in the state. The Governor issued the directive based on a Supreme Court order passed on September 25.

9. Allahabad High Court on Wednesday rejected a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking the recognition of Mathura’s Shahi Idgah Mosque site as Krishna Janmabhoomi (birthplace of Krishna) and which had also sought the removal of the mosque from the disputed land.
10. Supreme Court allowed the anticipatory bail application of Umar Ansari, the son of incarcerated gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari. Umar Ansari had been accused of taking illegal possession of an evacuee property owned by the Uttar Pradesh Government through their influence.
