1. The National Investigation Agency searched six locations across Jammu province in the Pakistan-backed conspiracy to spread terror in the region. Extensive searches were conducted in Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar districts of Jammu province by NIA teams in the case relating to the conspiracy by banned terrorist organisations and their offshoots to carry out violent attacks with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms in Jammu and Kashmir.
2. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said at an election rally on Saturday that the Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose must explain why he should not resign. She said this in reference to the allegations of molestation against Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose.
3. The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi government to ensure that funds to twelve Delhi University colleges, fully funded by the State, are released within a week to make payment of salaries to the staff. The High Court also warned of issuing contempt notices to senior Delhi government officers, if the judicial orders are not complied with.
4. The Police released the sketches of six terrorists, who infiltrated from Pakistan into Basantgarh area of Udhampur district and killed a village defence guard (VDG) in a gunfight before fleeing deep into the forest.
