Hanuman Jayanti is among the most celebrated Hindu festivals that commemorates the birth of Anjaneya, Lord Hanuman, the divine vanara who is an embodiment of pure devotion and loyalty in his service to Lord Ram. Hanuman was born on the Shukla Paksha Poornima of the Hindu Chaitra month. According to Drik Panchang, the Chaitra Purnima Tithi will start at 3:21 AM on April 12 and conclude at 5:51 AM on April 13.

1. The first cohort of 40 “PURPLE OFFICERS” of the Indian armed forces—trained with a focus on joint operations the Army, Navy, and Air Force—completed their course at the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington, Tamil Nadu, on Thursday. These officers have enhanced training in ‘jointness’ which means that they have integrated strength of at least two limbs of the armed forced.
The batch included 20 Army officers and 10 each from the Navy and the Air Force, along with four officers from the United States, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Australia—nations where jointness in military operations is more advanced.
2. DRDO successfully conducts release trials of Long-Range Glide Bomb Gaurav from Sukhoi -30 MKI aircraft. The trials successfully demonstrated a range close to 100 kilometres with accuracy.
3. The first edition of the biannual Naval Commanders’ Conference 2025 concluded in New Delhi. The week-long apex-level conference was held in two phases at Karwar, Karnataka and New Delhi. It engaged the commanders in deliberations on security challenges in the maritime domain and review of Indian Navy’s operational preparedness.
